Nick Rubano (Bat Boy/Edgar)Nick is beside himself with excitement and gratitude to be making his Catalyst Theatre Company debut, reprising a role he holds close to his heart (and fangs) as Bat Boy. A recent graduate of Sacred Heart University’s B.A. Theatre Arts (Musical Theatre) program, Nick recently performed overseas in Reject Me, Already (Rotating Cast/All Roles), and Your Children Will Follow (Milo) at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Other past performances include The Rocky Horror Show (Rocky), A Chorus Line (Bobby), and As You Like It (Orlando). Nick would like to thank his parents for their endless support, all of his friends that got him here, and the CTC team and Bat Boy company for this dream of an opportunity. @nickrubano
Beth Siegling (Shelley Parker)Beth Siegling is full of comfort and joy as she joins CTC during spooky season for Bat Boy! Beth holds a BA in Theatre Arts and Gender Studies from Mount Holyoke College. Previous credits include: Rona Lisa Peretti in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (The Grange Theatre), Percy Talbott in The Spitfire Grill, Andrew Hall in Men On Boats, #11 in The Wolves (St. Croix Festival Theatre), Woman 2 in Songs for a New World (Northern Lakes Arts Association), Sally Bowles in Cabaret, Lucy in Bright Star, Hotel Hooker in Violet (Playmakers Rep), Frenchy in Grease (Great Plains Theatre), touring with the National Theatre for Children, working as a resident Metaperformer at Shadowbox Live, and three regional productions of Godspell (Bless the Lord, Learn Your Lessons Well). Scott McGowan (Dr. Thomas Parker)Scott McGowan (Dr. Parker) is happily returning for a second go around with Catalyst after starring in Elling last year. Originally from Pennsylvania, and getting a Theatre degree at NYU, he has lived in New Jersey for over 15 years. While raising a family he has worked steadily, garnering two NJ Tony Awards for Best Actor in a Musical awarded by the Newark Star Ledger for Mack & Mabel and I Do!, I Do!. He was also awarded Best Supporting Actor in a Musical from the state of New Hampshire in two separate years as well, for the Engineer in Miss Saigon and Juan Peron in Evita. Scott is a member of Vivid Stage (formerly Dreamcatcher Repertory) in Summit and has appeared at the Bickford, Centenary and Luna all in NJ. Regional credits include Shear Madness at the Kennedy Center, Cabaret, Parade, Art, Next Fall and many others including an Indiana Jones doll and the Emcee for Holiday Spectacular on Ice. He has directed or appeared in thirteen productions of Forever Plaid. A proud member of Actors’ Equity Association where he spent sixteen years on their governing body and was a Tony voter. Tracey Lynne Haskell (Meredith Parker)TRACEY LYNNE HASKELL (Meredith) is thrilled to reprise one of her all time favorite roles after twenty years! Thank you to CTC for this incredible opportunity! Previous regional experience includes In The Heights (Daniela), Ragtime (Sarah’s Friend), Starmites (Diva/Mother). Other NJ appearances: Seussical (Mayzie), Fat Pig (Helen), Falsettos (Dr. Charlotte), Nine (Luisa), Once on This Island (Euralie), Into the Woods (Witch), The Life (Sonya), Ain’t Misbehavin (Armelia), Fiddler (Fruma Sarah), The Robber Bridegroom (Rosamund), Porgy and Bess (Strawberry Woman), West Side Story (Anita), Footloose (Vi Moore), A New Brain (Lisa), Songs For A New World (Woman 2) and many more. When Tracey is not on stage you can find her kayaking, hiking, at the movies, seeing a show or with her sweet kitty, appropriately named Batman. Jimmy Jesberger ( Rick Taylor )"James Joseph Edward Jesberger Jr but please call him Jimmy for short is excited to make his debut in a CTC production. The Performing Arts are what many of us call home and this is especially true for Jimmy. Jimmy is a performance artist on and off stage born and raised in Philly; “Represent!” He graduated from Arcadia with his BFA in Acting and decided that he must do everything that makes him feel at home. Over the last couple of years within theatre, Jimmy has been more on the Music Direction side music directing shows like Addams Family The Musical, A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder, and Legally Blonde the Musical but you can always see him running around all of Philly with his best friends as he switches through many hats. Recently however Jimmy just performed in The Toxic Avenger Musical where he played 15 roles as “Dude 2”. Rehearsals for Bat Boy started the day after Toxic Avenger’s last show, so if that tells you anything. Jimmy wants to thank his mom and friends for always dealing with him. Rach Phelan (Maggie)Rach Phelan is psyched to be performing in her first show with Catalyst Theatre Company! Previous Credits: Sister Mary Amnesia- Nunsense (Centenary Stage Company), Ensemble- Starborn: A Disco Odyssey (Surflight), Meg- Little Women (Holmdel Theatre Company), Pontius Pilate- JCS (MAC Players). She’s an AMDA grad, a cast member of Let’s Broadway NYC, and has performed at cabaret venues in the city (Green Room 42, Broadway Comedy Club, Sid Gold’s Request Room).
