The Jazz Warriors Big Band is a volunteer organization made up of roughly 25 musicians primarily from the eastern suburbs of Pittsburgh.  The Jazz Warriors started in January 2018 as a subgroup of the Penn-Trafford Community Band after several band members had an interest in forming a jazz band.  Members vary in age, profession, and background, but all share a common love of music.  The Jazz Warriors play a wide variety of music from popular Big Band and Jazz Standards to Swing, Latin, Funk and even a few Jazz Rock favorites. 

This year, performers from the Acmetonia Kilowatt jazz band will perform as guests of the Jazz warriors and the Casino Theater.  The jazz band consists of fifth and sixth grade students.   This is the second year this band has performed with the Jazz Warriors and we can't wait to hear them!   The students are between 10 and 12 years old and practice each Monday after school.
