The Little Mermaid Cast
Quinn Simmons (Ariel)Quinn is extremely excited to be a part of The Little Mermaid! This is her last musical production here at CHS, as she is a senior, and it has been one of her favorites! In the past four years, the musicals she has been a part of have been Into the Woods as Little Red, Bright Star as Margot, and Rock of Ages as Sherrie. While she loves and appreciates everyone who has supported her throughout the past four years, she would like to give her biggest thanks and love to her Grammy. Gloria Miller was the kindest, beautiful, and loving Grammy Quinn could ask for, and she never missed a chance to see her grandkids. While she heartbrakingly passed away this past July, Quinn knows that she is still here to support her and cheer her on. Grammy, I love you more than anything, and I miss you every day. On that note, sit back, relax, and enjoy this year's production, THE LITTLE MERMAID!
Avry Lovette (Sebastian)Avry is so excited for this production! He says that “Playing this role has been a great honor and so much fun!” Avry has been part of theatre at many places for many years now. Some recent roles he has played are Drew from Rock of Ages, Darryl from Brightstar, and Damian from Mean Girls. As a senior, Avry has shared that this is a very sentimental time and that he hopes his last performance at CHS is a memorable one. He is grateful for the many incredible memories at CHS, but is excited to take on the world and see what it has in store for him. He would like to thank his cousin (Lindsay), his sister (Lauryn), and his grandma (Beba) for always being there for him and guiding him through such crucial years of his life. Finally, his one piece of advice he has for kids in or going into high school is “It is going to get hard, but don’t let the negative times outweigh the positive ones, you only get one shot and one impression so make it count! If you are ever struggling just know that I believe in you and believe you are loved just as you are!
Dakota Wilkins (Prince Eric)Dakota Wilkins is thrilled to be setting sail in his second mainstage production within the Carthage Theater Department and his final musical as a senior! He has loved the journey of becoming Prince Eric and exploring the character's sense of adventure and desire for something more. You may remember Dakota from his previous role as D'artagnan in The Three Musketeers. He wants to thank the cast, crew, and directors for a truly memorable experience, and wishes everyone a smooth trip across and under the seas.

Elliana Maggard (Flounder)Ellie Maggard, plays Ariel’s best friend Flounder in The Little Mermaid!! She is apart of the highschool show choir, Suite Sounds, and is in band! If you like her, be sure to support those groups as well! She loves her mom and dad (Justin Maggard and Samantha Maggard)! And shout out to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, he is the reason she's here today!!!!
Ace Simmons (Scuttle)Ace Simmons is thrilled to be part of this production! His current role includes Scuttle the Seagull. Ace has enjoyed acting in musicals such as Little Mermaid, Rock of Ages, Bright Star, and Into the Woods, as well as plays like Three Musketeers, Clue, and Puffs. Ace would like to thank his amazing parents Melinda and Jason Simmons for their non-stop support these four long years of high school as well as his best friend and twin sister Quinn Elizabeth Simmons, and amazing older and younger siblings Ezra and Olivia Simmons.
Gabe Mercer (King Triton)Gabriel is super excited for his theatre debut as King Triton in Carthage Senior High School's production of "The Little Mermaid"! Whenever they are not on stage rehearsing for the big night, you can find them in Soundwave, the mixed show choir for the high school, hanging out with friends, playing video games, writing songs, or having their head stuck in a Sarah J. Maas book. I want to thank everyone who has supported me throughout my fine arts career, and a very special thanks to everyone here tonight supporting mine and my castmates' work!
Caleb Martin (Grimbsby)Caleb is excited to return to the stage in Disney’s The Little Mermaid. He most recently participated in the one act “It’s Just Business” as Bart and in Rock Of Ages as Ja’kieth. Caleb is on the school media team and you can see his promotional video for the show on the CHS BUZZ YouTube channel. He’d like to thank his parents for giving him a chance to do what he loves and his director Mr. Hall for giving him the character.

Miriam Duff (Aquata (Mersister))Miriam Duff (Aquata) is delighted to be a part of the CHS production of The Little Mermaid! This will be her 3rd CHS musical and 5th CHS production overall. She was previously in Brightstar, Rock of Ages, Three Musketeers, and Clue. Miriam loves all things musical and getting to perform alongside so many beautiful talented people! She would like to thank all her gorgeous loser friends and her amazing family who have kept her (somewhat) sane throughout this year. She is so thankful and couldn't have made so many great memories without them.
Olivia Schwarz (Adrina (Mersister))
Angelica Saldivar (Arista (Mersister))Angelica Saldivar is very excited to be part Carthage Senior High's production of "The Little Mermaid." Some past performances that's she's been is The Carthage Senior High production of"The Three Musketeers," "Rock of Ages", and "Bright Star." In Middle School she was in the production of "James and the Giant Peach" as Glow worm. For fun, Angelica spends her free time in show choir singing and dancing with her friends and you can find her reading or cooking. She wants to thank her Director and her parents for pushing her to do amazing every time.
Sage Gonzalez (Atina (Mersister)) Sage is extremely excited to be apart of a musical for the first time in CHS's the Little Mermaid. She have previously acted in the play Puffs, with the theater department. In her free time, Sage works with the CHS debate team. She is currently the team President and was a 2025 National Champion. Sage would like to thank her mom for encouraging her to audition, and all of her mersisters for always having fun, on and off stage.
Ella Binney (Adella (Mersister))Ella is very excited to be apart of the Little Mermaid at Carthage high school. She has been in the past two CHS productions as Waitress #1 in Rock of Ages and Constance in The Three Musketeers. She’s also involved in Show Choir, band, and debate alongside theatre.
Sheridan Phelps (Allana (Mersister))
Luke Pointer (Chef Louis)Luke Pointer is very excited to be a part of The Little Mermaid as Chef Louis. He has had a lot of fun working on his scene with his fellow castmates. Luke has appeared in other Carthage productions as Professor Plum in Clue, Stacee Jaxx in Rock of Ages, Porthos in Three Musketeers, and Mark Chesterfield in It's Just Business. He is excited for everyone to see the show and hopes the audiences enjoy it.
Avery Dillard (Windward, Maid, Princess)Avery is so excited to be a part of the CHS Musical Cast for the first time!! She is an extremely outgoing and bright young woman who loves to be on stage. Avery is known for her never-ending energy and the bright light she shines. For the last four years, she has enjoyed performing next to some of her best friends in Carthage High School's Show Choirs, Suite Sounds, and Soundwave. Avery would like to give thanks and praise to the Lord and her Savior for the gifts and talents He has given her to be able to do the things she does. She would also like to thank her amazing, supportive, and tight-knit family for always being by her side and having her back, no matter what. Love you so much!!
Isabelle Murray (Leeward, Maid, Princess)Isabelle Murray is so excited for The Little Mermaid Show this year! She plays Windward, a Maid, and a Princess! This is her sophomore year in high school but first year in theatre. During her free time, she's in the CHS Band and Soundwave and FFA! She wants to thank her friends for making her feel welcomed in the musical and also her parents for helping her make it possible for her to put so much of her time and effort into the show!
Ryan Schmidt (Pilot)Ryan Schmidt is stoked to be apart of Carthage High School's "The Little Mermaid" as Pilot. He recently worked with CHS on "Rock of Ages" and "Three Musketeers" as tech crew and Ravanche respectivly. Ryan has been working with theater since his 7th grade year and is still working towards graduating highschool with honors. In his free time he enjoys listening to music in a dark room and creating abstract art. He would like to thank his brother and sister for helping him become the person he is now.
River McCahon (Sea Creature, Princess, Ensemble)River is thrilled to be diving into the world of The Little Mermaid! Her recent stage credits include the ensembles of Musketeers and Rock of Ages. This marks her seventh production since 7th grade. When not on stage, River enjoys competing in speech and debate, as well as swimming. She extends a heartfelt thank you to the incredible tech team for their dedication and for always bringing the magic of the show to life.
Layla Laney (Maid, Sea Creature)Layla is very excited to be a part of the little mermaid, In 8th grade she was apart of Charlotte's Web as a baby spider and has improved more and more through the years. When she is not in Theatre she does Show Choir and Archery , She loves being in all three activities. She wants to thank her Mom and Dad for letting her pursue her passions.

Sofia Velazco-Hernandez (Maid, Sea Creature)Sofia Velazco-Hernández is so excited to be in the production of The Little Mermaid this year! This is her first year in theatre and doing a musical! Outside of school she practices for her show choir that she’s in: Suite Sounds! She also loves seafood (ironic for the Little Mermaid am I right), and she also LOVES The Vampire Diaries.
Andy Oxlaj (Chef, Sea Creature, Gull)Andy is so happy to be in the musical in Carthage High school. He likes trying his best when it comes to acting and singing. If He’s not in school he likes to draw or sing in his spare time. Andy wouldn’t be where he is right now without his friends and family.

Emma is thrilled to be a part of The Little Mermaid with CHS Theatre! She has been involved in the performing arts for the majority of her life, but this will be her first performance with the Carthage Theatre Department. When she’s not in school, Emma enjoys reading, taking autumn walks, and getting coffee with her friends.
Karina Kupinski (Gull, Sea Creatire. Ensemble)Karina is so excited for this production! She is curretnly in the little mermaid and her past credits include high school musical, Aristocrats, and choir. When she is not in school she likes reading, art, doing dance, studying different sciences, horse riding, and different sports. She would like to thank her family for supporting her passions and just supporting her as a whole.
Sophia Byrd (Sea Creature, Ensemble)The Little Mermaid. Some of my recent credentials are, in 8th grade I was Amy/Lady Capulet in our show Romeo and Juliet-Together (and Alive) at Last, I was a character named Gregor in the one-act Citizen's Arrest. And, in 7th grade I was the first officer in our play James and the Giant Peach. I also have done the community lip sync with my sister and we got 1st. I have helped out in tech crew for Three Musketeers as one of the spotlights and had to help out in tech in 8th grade. I want to thank my brother for finding out theatre in junior high to high school and getting me invested, my parents for supporting me through it all, and just to everyone who's supported my dream of theatre and wanting to be an actor.
