Kris HustonKris Huston began her love of music as a young child singing hymns in church. She developed a passion for theater in elementary school and performed, choreographed, and directed shows throughout high school and college.
After earning a BA in Vocal Music, a Minor in Theater, and a Masters in Theology, she served many years as a Music Minister in large Orange County churches.
Kris has taught at the college level, toured with her band, performed professionally across Southern California, and recorded multiple albums available on iTunes and Spotify.
She has also directed national award-winning theater teams whose students have landed leads in National Tours.
Founded in 2012, Huston Performing Arts holds a special place in her heart and has grown into a thriving space for kids and adults to explore music, dance, and theater.

Director, Head of CAAB Musical Theater
Karson BollingerKarson Lee Bollinger is a Placentia, California based Musical Theater Director, Actor, and Writer/Composer. He Graduated with an Associates Degree in Drama and a Certificate in Musical Theater from Fullerton College in 2024.He is currently pursuing a songwriting degree from Berklee Conservatory Online.He has directed more than 10 local community theater musical productions since 2022, and is currently the Head of Musical Theater at California Arts and Beyond in Placentia. As a playwright/composer he has had two original ten-minute plays performed to the public and composed original incidental music for a play adaptation of "A Christmas Carol" in 2024.While not often, he can sometimes be seen performing as well, usually doing Composer Biography Concerts conceived by himself. theofficialkarsonbollinger.com

Music Director
Carolynn SchmalCarolynn Schmahl is a musician originally from San Jose, now residing in Southern California. Since receiving her BA in Music from Chapman University, Carolynn has worked as a singer and music educator in Orange County and Los Angeles. Her students have won awards in competitions such as the Musical Theater Competitions of America (MTCA), the Spirit of the MACY Awards, and the National PTA Reflections Program for singing, acting, and composition. Carolynn has designed a number of educational programs that teach musical concepts such as music theory, composition, history, and technique. She has served as music director for several productions, including Annie, Honk, Seussical, A Christmas Story, James and the Giant Peach, The Addams Family, Into The Woods, The Little Mermaid, and The Spongebob Musical. She is especially proud of her students who have gone on to collegiate performance programs and loves to cheer her students on as they pursue their professional dreams. In addition to her career as a music educator, Carolynn works as a session singer and sings as a cantor at St Kilian Catholic Church. Any day she gets to make music is a good day.

Head Choreographer
Mikhaela BernalMiss Mikhaela is so happy to have joined this HPA Production for the second summer in a row! This is her third Musical Production as Choreographer at HPA, including 13 the Musical, SpongeBob the Musical, and now James and the Giant Peach. Mikhaela has her BFA in Acting for Film from the New York Film Academy and additionally works in the film industry behind and in front of the camera. She’s been in children’s education since High School, a Thespian since Middle School, and a dancer since she could walk. She had an absolute blast “Shaking It Up” with this cast and crew for our peachy and wild summer show!

Co-Choreographer
Alyssa ChavarriaAlyssa Chavarria is an
extremely accomplished dance professional and owner of Dynamic New Artisty. Having extensive experience in performance, instruction, and choreography, Alyssa is dedicated to helping new dancers reach their fullest potential. As a performer, Alyssa is credited in performances of Disney's Aladdin A Musical Spectacular at Disneyland Resort, featured dancer at Studio D under Kira DiMartino, and The Nutcracker with Russian Ballet Phoenix just to name a few. Alyssa has choreographed national award winning dances and is currently working with Junior University theatre choreographing Shrek the Musical

Assistant Director
Sydney J ParkSydney is an OC/LA-based actor and musical theatre performer. She graduated from California State University, Fullerton, earning her BFA in Musical Theatre after earning her AA in Theatre Arts, AA in Arts and Human Expression, and an AA in Theatre Arts for transfer. Some of her credits include Doralee Rhodes Understudy/Maria/Female Ensemble (9 to 5), Ensemble (The Prom), Rapunzel & Cinderella’s Mother (Into the Woods), and Edward (workshop production of How Did Edward Lose His Accent). She also just made her NYC debut at Greenroom 42 earlier this year. (sydneyjpark.com)

Hanna HinkleHi everyone! I’m Hanna, and I’m so excited to be back on the team for another amazing summer camp with the best kiddos and creative directors! I love seeing these talented kids shine on stage! I can’t wait to go on this giant adventure with all of you, it’s been so fun bringing this peach-tastic show to life!

Stage Manager
Emma HelsleyEmma is thrilled to be working with HPA and CAAB for the first time! She is currently a third year theater student at California State University of Fullerton and plans to pursue stage management professionally. Costume Designer
Luanne WatsonLuanne is a proud mom of three amazing kids and has worked in the medical device industry for over 14 years. Her passion for costume design began when she taught herself to sew while creating her daughter's Halloween costume. That experience sparked a love for costumes that grew through volunteering backstage for her children's elementary school musicals, where she gained hands-on experience and developed her skills. She enjoys combining creativity, problem-solving, and attention to detail to help bring characters and stories to life on stage. Luanne is grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with such a talented cast and crew and to be part of bringing each production to life.
