"Hadestown" is a musical that retells the Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice, intertwined with the story of Hades and Persephone, set in a post-apocalyptic world inspired by New Orleans, exploring themes of love, loss, and hope through a haunting blend of blues, jazz, and folk music. 

The Buchholz Players are a high school-based Student Reparatory Group that prides itself on tackling the difficult and sometimes controversial issues in their theatrical performances like their productions of Fahrenheit 451, Head Over Heels, Shout, We Will Rock You, Rock of Ages etc.  They are also known for their sets which can be quite elaborate for a public-school stage. Hadestown is the final production under their current Theatrical Director Ted Lewis who is retiring after 25 years as the BHS Drama and Film Director.
