Shrek The Musical Cast

Shrek (Carson Clay)
Carson Clay is a 17 year old Senior at BHS. He enjoys watching movies, editing video, and singing in choir. He plans to major in Film at UCA. He's also very excited about portraying such an iconic character, one he's loved all his life.
Princess Fiona  (Taylor Buman)
Taylor is excited to be in another production at Bryant High School, previous credits include Frozen Jr. (Student Director), Into The Woods Jr. (Rapunzel), A Christmas Story (Ester Jane), Legally Blonde (Delta Nu), Grease, Mary Poppins, 12 angry jurors, Get Smart, Much Ado About Nothing, #VIRAL (Director), Children of Eden, Almost, Maine, and more but she can also been seen hanging out with Princesses, Mermaids, and Fairies at Fancyful Fairytale Parties. She would like to thank the late Bob Williams who gave her her first opportunity at theatre and taught her so much as well as her sister Kelsey who made her dress and her parents who have helped her get here and Annslee, Shelby, Mia, and everyone else who has always been supportive and believed in her. She hopes you enjoy the show and let your freak flag fly!!
Donkey (Andrew Battie )
Andrew Battie is a senior at Bryant High School and is super excited to be apart of this show. Andrew has a huge passion for music and plans to go to college to major in music education. Andrew has been in multiple shows, including “Our Town” (Wally), “Much Ado About Nothing” (Verges), and “Into the Woods” (The Wolf).
Lord Farquad (Jase Gladden)
Jase Gladden (Lord Farquaad) is thrilled to be making his Bryant High School theatre debut! Jase recently attended the Arkansas Thespian Festival and is excited to be a part of the acting community. He is no stranger to performing, however, as a member of the Bryant Legacy Band – or being on stage, he’s played the French Horn for several years. Also, an avid swimmer, he has competed in the pool since age 6. Jase would like to thank all of his friends and family for coming to the show to support him, and to congratulate the cast and crew of Shrek the Musical for a successful show!
Pinocchio (Amelia Johnson )
Amelia Johnson, a 9th grader at Bryant Junior High, is excited to be making her acting debut in BHS’s Shrek the Musical. She is overjoyed to be performing with such a talented cast and working alongside an incredibly skilled crew. Aside from her passion for theater, Amelia enjoys playing the alto saxophone in her school’s concert and jazz bands. She thanks her grandparents, family, friends, and teachers for encouraging her success and love for the arts.
Little Pig #1/Duloc Dancer/Rat Dancer/Dance Captain (Laiken Clarke )
Laiken Clarke is a sophomore at Bryant High School and is excited to be in her first live on-stage production. Her previous credits include Angela, (Dogecoin Billionare; film) as well as 13 years of dance experience. Laiken wants to thank her family, friends, Thespian Troupe 8855, and Mr. Clay for helping her reach her dance and acting goals this year.
Farquaad’s guard/Dragon’s Knight (Michael Helms)
Michael Helms, a Jr in high school. This is his first performance at Bryant high school, and he is ready to give it his all.
Fairy Godmother (Leilani Mckay)
Leilani Mckay is a sophomore at Bryant and is so excited to play Fairy Godmother. Her previous credits include Twelve Angry Jurors (Juror 2 and head of costumes), #VIRAL (Barbara), and Fire Exit (Mrs. Jenkins).
White Rabbit (Cameron Hastings)
Cameron Hastings is a 10th grader at Bryant High School. He has a part of theater since 7th grade, and is happy to make his Bryant debut as the White Rabbit. He has previously done props for 12 Angry Jurors. His favorite show has been Henry’s Law as Max. Thank you to Mr Clay, Mr. O and everyone in the cast for this amazing experience.
Puss in Boots/Happy Villager (Ainslee Theodore)
Ainslee Theodore is in the 9th grade and attends Bryant Junior High School. She is thrilled to participate in Shrek the Musical as Puss in Boots and as one of the Happy Villagers for her first musical. She is excited to see what theatre will hold for her in the upcoming future.
Ugly Duckling/Blind Mouse/Queen Lillian (Ria Colvert)
Ria Colvert is a junior at Bryant and has enjoyed working on this production of Shrek as her second show at Bryant High School. This is her first musical she has gotten to work in and is very excited for future productions.
Peter Pan/Farquad Guard (Braden Lisowe)
Braden Lisowe is excited to return for his 3rd production at BHS and his 22nd production since he began acting in 2017. Past favorite roles include Michael Banks (Mary Poppins, BHS), Kurt VonTrapp (Sound of Music, Argenta Community Theatre and Wildwood), Shere Khan (Jungle Book, Royal Theatre), Arty (Lost in Yonkers, Royal Theatre), and Gavroche (Les Mis, Royal Theatre). Braden also enjoys singing in the select choir and serving on the student council at BJHS. Braden trains with Angela Collier (voice) and Dance Infinity.
Duloc Greeter/Dragon Puppeteer/Happy villager  (Teri Dodd )
Teri is so excited to be apart of this amazing production, this is the first musical she has been in. She is excited to see where this opportunity takes her, and she looks forward to all the memories she will make in the process.
Wicked Witch/Duloc Dancer/Rat tapper (Aubree Blankenship)
Aubree Blankenship is an 8th grader at Bryant Junior High School and she is excited to play the Wicked Witch in her first ever performance. Aubree Believes you should try new things because, “you’ll never know ‘till you try”. She works hard in every sport and other extracurricular activity she does.
Young Fiona (Maddie Welch)
Maddie is in 7th grade at Bethel Middle School and loves singing and musical theatre. She is so excited to play Young Fiona! Maddie’s previous experience includes performances in Sense and Sensibility (Gossip) and Elf the Musical (North Pole Elf/Ensemble) with the Royal Players; Jungle Books Kids (Wolf) and Frozen Jr. (Ensemble) with the Young Players; and Mary Poppins (Teddy Bear) with the Bryant Theatre Company. Maddie wants to thank Mr. Clay for this fun and wonderful opportunity!

Evalyn is so excited to be performing with Bryant Theater Company for the first time. She is an 8th grader at Bryant Jr. High and always loves to adventure out in nature. Evalyn’s favorite productions she has performed in include Jungle Book, Sleeping Beauty, and an Unfortunate Misfortune. Evalyn would like to thank everyone who put their time and effort into this show. Hope you enjoy this hilarious production!

Liv Mortensen is a sophomore at Bryant High School. Though Shrek the Musical may be her first theater production, she has spent five years in choir and eight years in dance. When not working hard at school, she enjoys listening to music, talking with her friends, and playing with her cat, Macchi.
Pig #2/Duloc Dancer/Rat Tap Dancer (Jordyn Purtle )
A Freshman attending Bryant Junior High, Jordyn is ecstatic for her debut with the Bryant High School Drama department. She has been dancing for six years, and has been dancing for Bryant the past three. The entire cast and crew have been working so hard on this wonderful musical for the past few months, and she hopes you enjoy the show!

My Name is Abigail Holmes but everyone calls me Abbie. I’m a 9th grader at Bryant. I have never been in any plays or musicals except for this one, Shrek The Musical. I’m very excited to work with such talented people this year and to try something new. Gingy/Bluebird (McKenzie Hicks )
McKenzie is happy to give the role of Gingy life in her first ever supporting role. She is a senior at Bryant and is in Bryant Camerata. Past credits include Crazy for You and Mary Poppins at Bryant High School. She hopes you enjoy the show, “splinters and all”!
Dragon/Blind Mouse (Priscila Cox )
Priscila Cox is a Sophomore at Bryant and will be playing the Dragon as part of a talon-ted trio as well as one of the three blind mice! She was in last year’s production of Into the Woods Jr as the Granny and can’t wait to make the audience roar with laughter!

Mia Simone Parker is so excited to be back on stage for her senior year at Bryant! Previous roles include Little Red Riding Hood (Into the Woods), Puck (A Midsummer Night’s Dream), and Ensemble in Ragtime. They hopes you enjoy the show!
Papa Ogre/Papa Bear/Bishop/Dragon Puppeteer (Eli Hill )
Eli Hill is excited for his last performance here at Bryant High School! He first started in 9th grade with a school musical, Crazy for You! And has since been in almost every performance that Bryant High School has produced. He is ready to be the best papa’s, bishop, and dragon puppeteer ever so he can end his senior year off with a bang! He loves everyone that he has met while working on both the plays and musicals and wishes his best for everyone in their futures!
Pied Piper/Guard/Happy Villager (Riley “Austyn” Wood )
Riley Austyn has always worked behind the scenes but has found a new interest on stage. She loves to sing and dance. In Shrek the musical she is the Pide Piper, a guard and is also a happy villager.
Duloc Dancer/Rat Tapper/Dish (Madison Williams )
Madison Williams, a freshman at Bryant, is thrilled to play Dish, Duloc Dancer, and Rat Tapper for her first performance with Bryant Highschool. Madison has been dancing for 8 years and took drama this past fall semester. She hopes you enjoy the show!
Mama Bear (Haven Gulledge )
Haven Gulledge is a senior this year at Bryant High school and is so excited to play Mamma Bear in her final show! She recently played as Foreman in 12 Angry Jurors. And Annie Bernstein in Henry’s Law! She would like to thank her family for always supporting her! And also would like to thank the cast and crew for all of their amazing work! She also wants to thank Mr.Clay for being an amazing director! And she hopes you enjoy the show!
Mad Hatter (Angelina Faith )
Angelina Faith is a senior at Bryant High School and is excited to preform in her final spring musical with the program. She is glad to have the opportunity to show some gender diversity as playing a female Mad Hatter. Some of her favorite past roles at Bryant include Juror Eleven (12 Angry Jurors), and her acting debut as Ursula/Conrade (Much Ado About Nothing). Angelina thanks Mr. Clay and the rest of the cast and crew for the wonderful opportunity.

I’m just a dude trying to get by! Just want to be a fun guy and make the best out of ever situation. I accidentally got into theatre but ended up loving it! I played Juror 3 from “12 Angry Jurors” and I also performed in one acts!
Mama Ogre/Dragon/3 Blind Mice/Sugar plum fairy (Shelby Loftis )
Shelby Loftis is a Senior at Bryant High School and is thrilled to perform in her last Spring Musical. Some past credits include Sandy in Grease, Bird Woman in Mary Poppins, and Juror No. Eight in Twelve Angry Jurors. She’d like to thank Mr. Clay for being an amazing director. Shoemaker’s Elf (Noah Atkinson)
Noah Atkinson is a 6th grader at Bryant Middle School and is 11 years of age. Noah is very excited to perform as the Shoemaker’s Elf in “Shrek the Musical”, as it is one of the first opportunities that she has had to star in a musical. She has very high hopes for her acting future. Harlow Kate Clarke is a 3rd grader at Bryant Elementary School and is very excited to make her Bryant Theatre Company debut with her sister, Laiken Clarke. Harlow has dance experience of 4 years and she hopes that you love this fun, green, and muddy show!
