Disney’s The Lion King JR. brings the African savanna to life in this vibrant stage adaptation of the beloved Broadway musical. This family-friendly production follows young Simba as he journeys from playful cub to courageous king, discovering the true meaning of responsibility, friendship, and bravery along the way. Featuring unforgettable songs like “Circle of Life,” “Hakuna Matata,” and “Can You Feel the Love Tonight,” this timeless story celebrates the power of love, redemption, and finding your place in the circle of life.

BP Elementary Drama Club was established in 2018 by director Jen Szumowski.  Over the past 8 years they have grown to include many wonderful members of the production team.  Including Tammy Staie as co-director and choreographer, Jon Aery as Scenic designer and costume creator, and Trenton Richmond as Set Designer and Construction. This year we welcome Emily West (production assistant/musical director) and student directors Christiane Park and Alea Ransom along with many others who have added their talents to this production. 

This is a family oriented program that develops creativity, builds confidence, promotes teamwork, and encourages new friendships. They have done numerous productions including, “Beauty and the Beast Jr.”, ” Seussical Jr." and “A Charlie Brown Christmas”, and “Frozen KIDS”.
