About The Bluebell Theater Incident

Robin Young is a singer, actress, artist and playwright whose new work explores theater life in
small town USA. She previously wrote and performed a one woman show in Borrego Springs
called After Midnight. That experience gave her the confidence to explore another idea which
started out as a musical extravaganza in her mind a year ago. It is now a more manageable
modified reader's theater musical involving a small group of thespians, a play within a play, a
mysterious incident, a festive jello salad with a few songs and dramatic poem thrown in.
Robin will direct and also is part of the cast in this hilarious comedy. Working closely with our
community's talented actors and BSPAC technical staff, The Bluebell Theater Incident will
premiere at The Borrego Springs Performing Arts Center early next year. Robin is known for a
unique writing style, witty dialogue, interesting characters, and mostly historical accuracy.
