Borrego Springs Performing Arts Center presents Cathryn Beeks and Nisha Catrone of Calamity, and Jeff Berkley and Calman Hart of Berkley Hart. Four award winning singer-songwriters in one incredible evening of entertainment! Stories told in words and music in the acoustic, coffeehouse tradition.

Calamity Duo
Nisha and Cathryn began making music together in 2013 with the birth of the band Calamity. Now in its 10th year, Calamity has released 2 full length collections of songs (both were nominated for a San Diego Music Award), almost a dozen music videos, and they produced 2 “radio plays" which use their songs to tell outlandish adventures, while paying homage to the radio dramas of the past. Nisha and Cathryn collaborate with an emphasis on catchy hooks, dreamy harmonies and theatrical performances. 

Berkley Hart
Jeff Berkley and Calman Hart have been entertaining audiences with their natural down-home humor and masterfully-crafted songs for nearly 25 years. Their album “Wreck ‘N Sow,” released in 2000, was a critical success, winning the San Diego Music Award for Best Local Recording and helping Berkley Hart take home the coveted Best New Artist trophy as well. They’ve played festivals, performing arts centers, and house concerts all over the country, recording another 10 albums and winning several more awards along the way. Their trademark vocal harmony and unique acoustic style create a listening experience that is, as one critic put it, “warm and peaceful as a summer evening on the bayou.”

The Borrego Springs Performing Arts Center (BSPAC) is an all volunteer, not for profit organization dedicated to presenting, sustaining and developing live performing arts on stage in our desert community.
