Bug Guts and Tony Feathers Cast

Rosebud and Scott Ireland (Bug Guts)
BUG GUTS Rosebud and Scott Ireland met in 1987, while fronting 2 popular San Diego bands. One enchanted evening, they got out their acoustic guitars to jam together, and a magical connection was made. After a serious accident left Scott temporarily paralyzed, their bands broke up. What followed was a long, slow, but successful recovery after which they picked up their guitars again and decided to go at it as an acoustic duo. Evolving through various musical incarnations, Scott and Rosebud have won numerous songwriting awards and released over a dozen albums together. As Bug Guts, they've birthed five delightfully diverse albums tastefully blending folk, rock, blues, and Americana genres. With their velvety rich harmonies, contagiously playful lyrics, and intricately dancing guitars, their live show makes for a joyously raucous ride. They've shared the stage with such talent as Shawn Colvin, Gillian Welch, Jason Mraz, and Jewel, and at a combined height of over twelve and a half feet, Bug Guts is the tallest known folk duo in the western hemisphere. As avid campers and explorers of the Anza Borrego Desert State Park, they were married in 1991 at Font’s Point, the park’s iconic badlands overlook. They currently reside in Northern California.
Tony Feathers (Tony Feathers)
TONY FEATHERS Originally from East Tennessee and growing up in Southern California, Tony began playing very bad guitar at age ten. Time and life moved forward, stories were born from living, songs were born from stories, guitar improved, and some enjoyed listening. As mostly a casual hobby, Tony has written over one hundred songs, recorded two albums, performed at various venues, charitable events, on the radio, and played at the Merlefest after placing third in the Chris Austin Songwriting Competition. Tony still writes and plays, and performs very occasionally, for as he says, “you can retire from a job, but how the heck do you retire from a hobby”?
