About Let Me Let Me Rot

When Mangal's suicide attempt fails, he suddenly finds himself in an awkward predicament: face to face with a recent meet on a dating app, Death herself. Together, they investigate why he tried, and whether their relationship can survive.

LET ME LET ME ROT is the fourth installment of The Baton Project, a program where artists select each other for inclusion and acknowledgement. Playwright Kanishk Pandey was selected by fellow playwright Michael Allen Harris (Baton Project #3 - Double Helix). Kanishk will select who to hand the program to at the conclusion of his reading. By taking the decision making out of the hands of our usual programming process, our goal is to support new voices that we may miss. We hope that, by handing the selection process over to the participants, we might see a more diverse coalition of artists and experiences.

Our expectation is that new artistic partnerships and long term artistic homes can be born from this program.

LET ME LET ME ROT is made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature.
