Into the Woods is a musical that was written in 1987 with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by James Lapine. 

The musical intertwines the plots of several Brothers Grimm fairy tales, exploring the consequences of the characters' wishes and quests. Fairy tales include, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, Rapunzel, and Cinderella, and many more. The story is tied together with a childless baker and his wife who are on a quest to start a family. 

Berwick Area High School is very excited to put on the production of Into the Woods for the Berwick Community. This will be Berwick's 4th show, with other productions including Little Shop of Horrors (2021), Addams Family (2019-2020), and Beauty and the Beast (2018).
