The Addams Family Musical is a comical, macabre exploration of what happens when the "ultimate outsiders" are forced to confront the most terrifying thing imaginable: normalcy. Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family—a man her parents have never met. And if that wasn’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before—keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents.

The Bennington Community Theatre is driven towards creating and implementing cultural and educational activities for the public benefit by providing theatrical arts opportunities for community participation.Donna Dahlsten and Blake Thompson previously met when working at the Hastings (Nebraska) Community Theatre. When they happened to meet in Bennington while Donna was still working with the Hastings Community Theatre, they both expressed their desires to start a community theatre in Bennington, due to missing the production and performance of community theatre. After consideration of giving back to their small-town communities, Donna and Blake determined that Bennington was the perfect place.
