Director
Kristen PughKristen Pugh (Director) is a General Music teacher at Batesburg-Leesville Elementary School. She has been teaching here at BLES for 9 years, with a total of 14 years of teaching experience. Mrs. Pugh has directed numerous musicals including Annie Jr., Frozen Jr., Descendants the Musical, Beauty and the Beast Jr., Little Mermaid Jr., and assisted as the Musical Director for our district musical Shrek. Mrs. Pugh would like to thank God, her family, her students, her amazing assistant directors, and Lexington Three for all your support.
Co-Director
Courtney Evans Courtney Evans (Co-Director), is a fourth grade teacher at Batesburg-Leesville Elementary School. This is her 9th year teaching, and working with the amazing musical talent the elementary school has to offer. She has worked with the productions of Annie Jr., Frozen Jr., Descendants the Musical, Beauty and the Beast Jr., and Little Mermaid Jr. in various roles. Her main role is to be Mrs. Pugh’s right hand backstage with costumes, transitions, and more. Mrs. Evans also helps with the children’s department at her church, Hulon Baptist Church. She was a competitive dancer and cheerleader for many years, with plenty of time on the stage. Mrs. Evans enjoys creating meaningful relationships with the students that last a lifetime!
Assistant Director
Meredith GreenMeredith Green (Assistant Director) is a third grade teacher at Batesburg-Leesville Elementary School. She has been teaching here at BLES for 11 years, with a total of 13 years of teaching experience. Mrs. Green has helped as assistant director on numerous musicals including Annie Jr., Frozen Jr., Descendants the Musical, Beauty and the Beast Jr., Little Mermaid Jr., and assisted with our district musical Shrek backstage. She also has a musical history with Honors choir, Chorale in high school and singing in her church choir. Mrs. Green would like to thank Jesus, her family, her students, our administrators, and Lexington Three for all your support. Mrs. Green also cannot forget and thank Mrs. Pugh enough for believing in the talent at BLES, we are sure to go far with her as our leader!
Lighting Designer
Ivy Munnerlynvy Munnerlyn (Lighting Designer) is a Performing Arts graduate from Clemson University with over ten years of experience in both performance and technical theatre. She currently teaches theatre at Batesburg-Leesville High School. Ivy has enjoyed directing Rock of Ages (Icehouse Amphitheatre), Annie (BLHS), Little Shop of Horrors (BLHS), and Southern Fried Funeral (BLHS), Bright Star (BLHS), and The Phantom of the Opera (BLHS)! When not teaching and directing, she enjoys performing herself! Favorite roles include Maria (The Sound of Music), Heather McNamara (Heathers), and Catherine (Pippin). She also leads vocals for the variety band Last Impression. She thanks her family, friends, students, and the talented production team who inspires her work. Set and Prop Designer
Jeni HandJeni Hand is the Set and Prop Designer for all BLES Musicals. She has been a part of Descendants the Musical and is so excited to be a part of The Little Mermaid Jr. Jeni is also the art and science lab teacher at BLES. This is her fourth year at BLES. Before she came to BLES, Jeni worked as a biologist and enjoyed working outdoors. She loves her church, her family, and she is a true lover of all animals. She would like to thank Lexington 3 for the opportunity and her students.
