About Happy Hour For a Cause

Ballet INitiative’s Happy Hour series returns to The Cat for a good cause. Local choreographers present a variety of exhilarating dance works to showcase their talent and help support an Indianapolis organization meaningful to the choreographers and dancers themselves. 20% of proceeds will go to Gennesaret Free Clinics. Join us on August 29th at 7:30pm and 30th at 2:00pm at The Cat in Carmel to support this wonderful charity. Together, we can make a difference! We hope to see you at the show!

Ballet INitiative

Ballet INitiative is a professional dance collective, including multiple styles with roots in ballet, serving the greater Indianapolis area founded in 2020 by five local dancers. With our revitalized performances, such as our feminist 1920s Nutcracker and Happy Hour series, we take the art of ballet and modernize it to reflect today’s social climate and public interests and it make it unique to our name. Ballet INitiative’s main goal is making the typical professional dance workplace a positive, updated, and artist-driven environment. We are a safe space for dancers and artists in need of a home, and collaborate often with other local Indianapolis dancers, musicians, photographers, visual artists, and actors.
