Cherylandria Banks (Lindy, Blood)
Cherylandria was born in Memphis, Tn. Some of her past B3 credits are Galatea, Suddenly (reading) and Herlandia. She has served on B3's 2022-23 board. She is honored to be a part of B3, and thankful for the support of the arts community. Her motto is Trust the Process.
Ann Bucci (Bobbie, Goodbye My Girls)
Ann is so happy to have been cast after being away from the stage for many years. She is thrilled to support new original works!
Krista Calvano (Lysistrata, LMK)
Krista (Lysistrata, LMK) was thrilled when B3 theatre facilitated her return to the stage last spring in their first evening of feminist theatre… And currently she is elated to inhabit the role of Lysistrata (Who wouldn’t be?!?) in their second round! After many years away from the theatre, Krista is grateful for the welcome she has received from this B3 community!
Kayla A Cook (she/they) (Dr. Farrow, Blessed Fruit)
Kayla Cook is a voiceover artist, performer, and resident nerd gremlin, who is not only excited but inspired by new original works. She received her Bachelor’s from NAU, and has performed in various theaters around the valley, but her passion is entertaining crowds and singing for them at the Arizona Renaissance Festival or with her local circus group Silver String Circus. If she’s not on the stage you can find her designing for them, or indulging in one of her many geeky hobbies. She is a former member of the Drunk Shakespeare Society where she collaborated with a troupe of actors to bring even more comedic moments to many of the Bard’s classics. Favorite roles/designs include Canterbury Tarot (Empress), Bat Boy the Musical (Hair/Makeup/SFX), Saint Joan (Lady Warwick), and Hunchback of Notre Dame (Gargoyle). She is grateful to Carlin Thomas for this opportunity to present such a powerful message, and to her dear beloved partner Chris Frank for being a voice of reason and chaos all at once.
Gianbari Deebom (she/they) (Gwen, Carhenge)
Gianbari Deebom is an actor, singer, director, teaching artist, and student filmmaker from Tucson, AZ, who just moved up to the Valley. She has an AFA in Theater from Pima Community College and is currently working on her Bachelors in theater at ASU. Gianbari is so excited to debut at B3 Theater! She has worked at many theaters in Tucson, including but limited to Winding Road, The Rogue, Scoundrel and Scamp, and Live Theater Workshop. Gianbari's favorite acting credits include Puffs: A One Act for Young Wizards(Leanne), Citizen: An American Lyric (Citizen 2), Mamma Mia! (Rosie), Killed A Man(Joking)(Amanda), Faustus: That Damned Woman(Katherine/Isabel/War), and many more. Her favorite directing credits are Proof, The Piano Lesson(Asst. director), Closing Doors, A**hole, the Dog, and more! You can see Gianbari next as Chelle in Detroit 67 at ASU in April. Nancy Gerent (Annie, Goodbye My Girls)
Nancy Gerent is so thrilled to be making her debut with: First Festival of Feminist Theater where she has been cast in two plays. Witch Queen, where she will play the role of Reina and Goodbye, My Girls, where she will play the role of Annie. She recently retired and is excited to pursue a dream of acting and performing on stage. She started taking acting classes in October, 2023. Currently, she does not have any prior acting experience to share. Prior to retirement she worked in the finance industry, specifically in the mortgage area and worked her way up into management. A rewarding, yet stressful, career. A few fun facts about her are: She was a semi-pro natural bodybuilder with a focus on the figure side of this sport. She rode across the country on her Harley Davidson motorcycle several times. She is an Ordained Minister and was honored to have performed the wedding ceremony for her son and his wife. She lived in Germany for a year. She was a Fire Commissioner for Bryon Fire Protection District.
Vanessa Longoria (Willow, Juliet Wakes Up)
Vanessa Longoria is a local actor in the valley and studying theater with a concentration in acting at Arizona State University. She is looking forward to playing this role and sharing her role with the audience. She is excited to continue to get more experience throughout her career and could not be happier to add Juliet Wakes Up to her achievements. Vanessa wants to learn about all of the different aspects of the acting industry and has learned so much already from this part. She is honored to be a part of this production and cannot wait for everyone to see all of the hard work everyone has put in.
Monika Lydia (she/her/hers) (Rosemary, Body Horror)
Monika is B3’s Resident Floppy Person and an intersectional feminist. *~This will be her first acting role~* . She feels the conversation style in Body Horror highlights the odd way we many times interact with one another, and is ecstatic to be a part of this festival. She wants to thank Aly Kantor (playwright of Body Horror) for putting words in her mouth, and Ilana Lydia (hello wife!) for telling her what to do so she looks cool on stage and Spencer Wareing (fellow Body Horror actor) for being an all round awesome dood:]
Aly Marchant (Belen, Shall We Dance?)
Aly is so excited to be a part of the First Festival of Feminist Theatre with B3! Originally from Portland, Oregon, Aly is an artist, teacher, advocate, intimacy professional, daughter, sister, partner, and friend. She graduated last Spring from SMU in Dallas, Texas with her BFA in Theatre with an emphasis in Acting and minors in Musical Theatre and Spanish. Since moving to the Valley, she has shared her love of theatre to young people with companies such as PerformtoLearn and Childsplay. She was most recently in the tour of Macbeth with Southwest Shakespeare, where she got to externalize her deep love of Shakespeare with High Schoolers and Middle Schoolers all over AZ! Special thanks to her family and beautiful feminist boyfriend who keeps her grounded and puts up with her insane rehearsal schedules. Pina Marie (Marla, Goodbye My Girls)
Pina is a Writer/Performer. Pina has written, performed and Toured her Two One Women Shows. Pinhead Number One, And Mafia Anonymous; The Women Speak in Fringe Festivals. Pinhead Number One played in Edinburgh, Scotland (2019), Tucson Fringe (2017), Adelaide, Australia (2016) & Phoenix Fringe (2014). Pina has acted in Films; Veil (Gate Keeper of Death), Wasteland Cop (Signrun), Mark of the Banshee (Banshee), Ilyushin (Maxima). Pina was seen in Frankenstein (Justine) at B3, Bold, Brazen & Brilliant (Existential Video) B3, Three Sisters (Anifisa) AZ Virtual Theatre , Lysistrata (Female Ensemble) AZ Virtual Theatre , Lady for a day (Spanish Countess) at Don Bluth theatre. Pina can be heard on Audio Recordings for Pride and Prejudice (Mrs. Bennet), Macbeth (Witch 2). Pina directed The One Act Play (Trapped) by Barry Wood) 2021 at B3. Mafia Anonymous; The Women Speak has been performed in Three Fringe Festivals : The Whitefire Theatre Festival (2022) Sherman Oaks, CA, Cannonball Festival , (2022) Philadelphia , PA, and Tucson Fringe Festival (2023). Receiving The Beyond Borders Award from Tucson Fringe. (2023) Pina was a recipient of the Season Artist Grant from The Brelby Foundation. And has received Two Individual Artist Award from The Arizona Arts Commission.
Antoinette Martin-Hanson (Patriot, Blessed Fruit)
Antoinette is excited to be working with B3’s First Festival of Feminist Theatre. Since graduating from ASU with a bachelor’s degree in Performance and Movement, she has performed in Lysistrata as Myrrhine (Ronin), Monster of Tempe Town Lake as Heather (Ronin), and Orange Skies in various roles including Tammy Camarillo (Space 55). She has also been working on a podcast called Role Playing Nerds and training with her ballroom partner to move into the amateur competition circuit.
Chelsea McCasand (Myrrhina, LMK)
Chelsea McCasland is so excited to be back performing in the valley after spending some time teaching in Seattle. Chelsea holds a Bachelor's Degree in Theatre from Arizona State University, and recently completed a film intensive at UCLA where she wrote a short film titled, “Liquid Joy”. Chelsea has performed in several performances with Grey Box Collective and has written, directed, and performed in sketches for Scratch Comedy, a local sketch comedy troupe that performs regularly in Phoenix, Arizona. Chelsea is so excited to make her reintroduction to the stage with B3 Theatre!
Julie Peterson (she/her/hers) (Anna, Melody)
Julie spent the past four years employing her 1980s Fine Arts education, public-health-related isolation, and constant search for gratification in virtual readings and performances with B3 Productions, Space 55 Theatre, the States of Play project, and Virtual Theater Lab. It's a great honor to get together all in one place again.
Isabel Ramirez (Rosaline, Juliet Wakes Up)
Isabel Ramirez is a local actor based in the Phoenix area, represented by the FORD RBA agency. Currently pursuing a degree in Theatre with a concentration in screen acting at Arizona State University, she recently expanded her theatrical knowledge through a spring semester program in London at Queen Mary University and took a variety of courses at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts. Isabel has showcased her talent in various short films across different genres, including "I Don’t Like Scary Movies," a horror film bringing nightmares to life, and "I'm Fine," a short film shedding light on the challenges of mental health. Catch Isabel in her upcoming role as Stephanie in A Bullfrog Sings Opera this spring at Apache Wells Hall.
Michael Rodriguez (Kinesias, LMK/Romeo, Juliet Wakes Up)
Michael Rodriguez is a local actor, occasional stage manager, and lover of theater. He has received his Associates of Fine Arts in Theatre from Mesa Community College’s Theatre and Film Arts Department. His most recent performance was his last one in school which was Peter in Peter and the Starcatcher. Michael also enjoys performing throughout the valley. He is very excited to be participating in the First Festival of Feminist Theatre! He would like to thank Ilana and all of B3 Theater for their innovative and important work, as well as the dedicated directors and other amazing artists, without whom this festival would not be possible. He would also like to especially thank his wonderful girlfriend Clarissa for her endless support. He hopes you enjoy the show!
Riza Rose (they/them) (August, Blessed Fruit)
Riza is a professional broadcaster, podcaster, and writer. They have a passion for impactful stories and storytellers and is excited to be part of this festival. This is their acting debut.
Angel Sicarios (Juliet, Juliet Wakes Up)
Angel is a local actor around the Phoenix valley. She has previously been seen in Coming Out for Christmas with B3 Theatre, The Odd Couple: Female version with Mesa Encore Theatre, Our Dear Dead Drug Lord and Ghosts of Bogotá with Stray Cat Theatre. This is Angels second production with B3 Theatre and she couldn’t be more excited to be back. . She would like to thank B3 for the amount of support and encouragement they have provided and can’t wait for you to see the show!
Ruth Stutzman (Elana, Shall We Dance?)
Ruth is a local actor and is so excited to participate in the First Festival of Feminist Theatre! The first of many to come! Ruth is originally from Oregon but moved to Arizona with her family 6 years ago. As a teen mother and a survivor of domestic abuse, she is passionate about women overcoming adversity and finding hope, love, and compassion for one another as we navigate life. She is excited to participate in an environment that celebrates women. She grew up in church where she was always dancing, singing, and acting. She got into Mortgage Sales so that she could provide for her young children and learned many intricacies of behavior and how people interact. She's since taken these skills and applied them to acting.
Spencer Wareing (Mary Rose, Body Horror)
Spencer Wareing is thrilled to perform in her first B3 Theater production, having decided that the best use of her Winter Break away from their studies at Jeanine Larson Dobbins Conservatory was, of course, more theatre! Spencer has fallen in love with all aspects of theatre; having performed across the Arizona valley, notably: The Diary of Anne Frank, She Kills Monsters: YA Edition, Clue: On Stage, The Laramie Project, and Midsummer Night's Dream! Outside of the spotlight and serving as the B3 Youth Playwright in Residence, Spencer rejoices in each opportunity to see their scripts come to life, having won an International Thespian Festival Thespy for "Boarding For Neverland" her one-act that deals with gender identity, loss, and loads of Peter Pan symbolism, as well as having it produced at B3 Theater, Spotlight Youth Theatre, and the Phoenix Theatre New American Play Festival. Spencer treasures all opportunities to perform in Arizona (and Missouri) theatres and prefers ‘Break a Leg’ to ‘Good Luck’ any day!
Anne Wett (Birdie, Goodbye My Girls)
Anne is a local actor who is thrilled to be a part of this beautiful piece for B3. She has been involved in several independent movies, Superstar, Knock on the Heart and So-Called Leaders. However, she has missed performing in front of an audience in the theater. By day, she is a surgical nurse at Mayo Hospital. However, her latest role as "Grannie” to grandbabies has been her favorite role to date. She lives with her husband, Tom and her Goldendoodle, Lola. Grateful to be a woman who supports other women, she is thrilled to be involved in the First Feminist Festival.
