The Cannibal Diaries by Paco Jose Madden Creative

Playwright, Producer
Paco Jose MaddenPaco got his start in cannibalism, I mean playwrighting, while working with Young Playwrights Theater in Washington, DC where he created plays with fresh meat, I mean youth. His choice cuts, I mean plays, include three productions with B3, including ROSEMARY’S BABY GOES TO HIGH SCHOOL (2020), HERLANDIA (virtual 2021), and ZOMBIE GIRL/SWAMP GIRL (virtual 2021). Paco became B3’s resident Hannibal Lecter, I mean playwright, in 2023. He hopes you enjoy this appetizing, I mean theatrical, production.

Director, Artistic Director
Ilana LydiaIlana is proud to be directing her fifth show by Paco. What a ride! In her spare time, she writes plays, obsesses over kittons, and conspires with likeminded individuals on having fun. She got married recently . . . guess to who? Thank you for supporting live theater in Phoenix.

Props Designer
Berit HoganBerit has been eating people—I mean doing theatre—for over 15 years in the valley now. Mostly stage managing shows now (her last show being Rent in July), she has an all around love for all things cannibalism—I mean theatre. Catch her at her next show, Avenue Q, opening in mid-March. Much love to her friends and family who have supported her so many times throughout the years.

Costume and Lighting Designer
Briar Rose Dangel"Normally she's in her Barbie era. But since this is the special Halloween episode of The Briar Rose Dangel show (seriously, read her diary sometime, the woman is romanticizing her life as being a TV show, in it's second season no less), she's in her Monster High era. Actually she's in her Cannibal Diaries era, but you know what I mean.
Meet Briar Rose Dangel (she/they).
She acted in a play during the novelization of their summer between seasons 1 and 2 and was recognized at a grocery store and that maybe scares her a little. Like please dont recognize them. But it also strokes her ego so please ask for a selfie!
They are currently rebuilding her physical media collection (DVDs, and yes, VHSes) because Grease: Rise Of The Pink Ladies was taken off streaming after the full series was out for like 16 days. Like screw you Paramount Plus. Briar Rose is this close to sending their well dressed Cannibals after you.
As season 2 of The Briar Rose Dangel show heads to its mid season finale, Briar Rose looks forward to taking a small, but much needed break, and a grandiose 21st birthday spellebration. Well as grandiose as you can get for being born on Xmas. Ugh. Good thing Halloween is Queer Christmas."

Set, Makeup and Hair Designer
Carlin ThomasCarlin [REDACTED] Thomas dwells in the Valley of the Sun with their spouse and adorable furry freeloaders. They are a jack-of-all-the-things, most recently including taxidermy and puppet-making (though not taxidermy puppets... Yet.) They are also an actor, artist, musician, and playwright/author currently working on a gay Mothman romance novel entitled MOTHMAN OF MY DREAMS, so keep an eye out for that if you're thirsty for cryptids. If you're not, then stay tuned for B3's next production that they penned: COMING OUT FOR CHRISTMAS! There are decidedly less cryptids, though you should prepare for cyberwolves, vampires, and lesbian moms delivering dad jokes.
