Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility Cast
Morrissa Mae Scott (Elinor Dashwood)Morrissa Mae Scott is delighted to be making her debut with Attic Productions. An Upstate New York Native and a regional actor, she studied acting at LU, and in Los Angeles and Atlanta. She is incredibly grateful to join this cast, and for her family for their constant love and support.
Elizabeth Brancati (Marianne Dashwood)Elizabeth Brancati is a 2019 graduate of Radford University where she earned her BS in Performance Theatre. She studied with the Kevin Jones Performing Arts Studio, Virginia Children’s Theatre and Mill Mountain Theatre. Favorite credits include: "The Diary of Anne Frank", "Hairspray", "Shrek the Musical", and "Rapture Blister Burn."
Abigail Joy Whittaker ( Margaret Dashwood)Abigail Joy Whittaker, 13, brings her energy and enthusiasm to every stage, from Attic Productions to wherever the spotlight lands. When she’s not performing, she’s probably crafting something way too big for her room—or making her case that stage makeup and hot glue are essential for survival.
Debbie Seitz (Mrs.Dashwood)This is Debbie’s first time on stage at Attic Productions, though she’s no stranger to the theater! She’s worked behind the scenes for several plays, including running sound for "Roads to Home" and "Footloose". She’s looking forward to contributing in a new way to this production.
Cassie Belcher (Mrs. Charlotte Palmer)Cassie Belcher is an English major who fell in love with Jane Austen early in life. She is grateful and excited to make her Attic debut in this play celebrating Austen's 250th birthday!
Katherine Coppoletti (Fanny Dashwood)Katherine is an avid fan of Jane Austen and the regency era. New to Virginia and to acting, when she's not working as a PTA, she enjoys sewing, reading, hiking and camping with her husband and 2 little girls and teaching them gardening.
Diane Heard (Mrs. Jennings)Diane was last seen on Attic’s stage as the confused granny in "The Butler Did It". Favorite roles have included Ouiser in "Steel Magnolias" and Lenny in "Crimes of the Heart". In her off time, Diane can be found trolling antique and thrift shops. She thanks Angela for this incredible opportunity.
Hailey Vandergrift (Lucy Steele)Hailey is a senior at NHS and is excited to attend Liberty University in the fall. She has been in many shows, her most recent roles include "Footloose" (Urleen) and "Tuck Everlasting" (Betsy Foster). She is also very excited to announce that she will be in Burton’s Center of Performing Arts Chicago in April.
David Boyer (Colonel Brandon)David was last seen as Jesus Costazuela in Little Town Player’s production of “the Odd Couple female version “.His favorite roles at Attic include Wadsworth in “Clue: On Stage”,and Foster Wilson in “Annie Get Your Gun”.When not on stage, David enjoys hiking, cooking, and reading a good book.
Blake Hill (John Willoughby)Blake Hill is very excited to make his first appearance on attic’s mainstage. He was recently seen in Men of Asylum’s commercial. He has also performed in Nuptial Mass as Jeff. He has also worked with Showtimers, Hollins, Grandin Flimlab, & MFA playwrights. He thanks all who support.
Lyle Blake Smythers (Henry Dashwood / Sir John Middleton / Apothecary)Lyle Blake Smythers was most recently seen here as Hercule Poirot in "Murder on the Orient Express" and Sebastian in The "Tempest". You may also recall him from "Noises Off" or the barbershop quartet in "The Music Man". Other area credits: "I Hate Hamlet", "Something Rotten".
Luke Dillon (John Dashwood / Mr. Palmer)Luke Dillon is thrilled to be back on the Attic stage after a 10 year hiatus! As a child and through his youth he was a regular Attic performer, and his last appearance was as Captain Walton in Attic's production of "Frankenstein" in 2015.
Lukas Lowther (Edward Ferrars / Robert Ferrars)Lukas Lowthe is a long time acting enthusiast, anything that can be done will be done by him. He’s played parts in "Everything Else I Learned in High School" and a leading role in "Motivational Liars" in his free time he enjoys tennis and writing.
Andalyn Powell (Thomas)Andalyn is a college graduate with an IT degree. She is a gym rat whose goal is to bench press 135 by December. She was last seen, at Attic, as Abel (Police Officer) in "On The 13th Day of Christmas". She thanks Angela McNeil for the opportunity.
Paige Walters (Servant / Miss Grey)Paige Walters is thrilled to be collaborating with Attic Productions for the first time! She is a freshman at Roanoke college and is studying Theatre Education. Favorite Past Credits include: "Annie" (Holiday Ensemble)," John Proctor is the Villain"(Ivy), "Percy Jackson " (Katie/Squirrel), and "Alice in Wonderland "(Alice). Madeline Bedrosian (Servant)Madeline Bedrosian is excited to be in her fourth play here at Attic! Most recent was "The Miracle Worker". When she is not acting she loves baking, painting, and learning American Sign Language.
