About 2024 Album Release

Everything about how Jesus came into the world, lived, ministered, and died was unconventional. He came into the world through a virgin birth (Matthew 1:23). Jesus flipped cultural and religious expectations on their side by teaching on the sabbath and flipping tables (Mark 2:27, Matthew 21:12-13). Jesus ate with sinners and talked to a Samaritan woman (Mark 2:13, John 4). Jesus had a plan from the start, his face was turned toward Jerusalem in Luke 9 and yet he proceeded to physically go in the opposite direction right after those verses. Eventually Jesus does go to Jerusalem where he dies which was the second most unconventional thing Jesus did. Then, Jesus rises. It is this kind of unconventional sacrifice that is the foundation of our christian faith. It is through Christ’s unconventional sacrifice that we dare to live with unconventional faith. We are called to die to ourselves and carry our cross (Romans 6:6, Matthew 16:24-25). We are called to love those who persecute us (Matthew 5:43-44). We are called to believe that God is always with us (John 14:15-18). This unconventional faith rooted in Christ’s unconventional sacrifice produced fruit. Not just any fruit, but fruit that doesn’t make sense to the world. Unconventional faith leads us to unconventional [PRAYER], one in which we already believe God is working. It leads us to unconventional [PEACE] that remains even when the world is crumbling around us. It leads us to unconventional [LOVE] where we lay down our weapons toward our enemies. It leads us to unconventional [JOY] that can not be explained or controlled.

This is what this album is about:

The results of unconventional faith. We are going back to the roots of our faith, celebrating who God is and exploring the results of following our unconventional God.
