Dale Easton's "The Drunkard" Cast

Randy Lambrecht (Mr. Romaine)
has been performing on Topeka stages since 1994, but this is his first turn with THE DRUNKARD. He was last seen in the Helen Hocker productions of PROOF and THE WOMAN IN BLACK. Randy serves on the Program Committee of ARTS, Inc. and has participated in New Chamber Theatre staged readings. He is having a blast taking part in this integral part of the Topeka theatrical tradition and and hopes you do too!
Shawn Trimble (Sample Switchel)
is returning for his 11th season as Sample Switchel, and third year as director. Shawn has performed at Topeka Civic Theatre, and is a member of the Emmy-winning Air Command, based at KTWU television, that produces radio drama for local and national television broadcasts.
John Hanna (Simon Slade)
is currently the Vice President of ARTS, Inc., and helped to launch its 24 Hour Plays festival, as well as chairs the New Chamber Theatre productions. He has been a production assistant on public television broadcasts of multiple Phil Grecian-penned shows, including “The Giant Rat of Sumatra.” He has recently joined the ranks of the Senior Class improv group at Topeka Civic Theatre. He thinks this might be his 22nd year playing Simon Slade.
T.A. Bonnewell (Harvey Green)
has been active in the Topeka theater community for over 15 years. In addition to appearing onstage and backstage at Topeka Civic Theatre, he has performed for several Air Command radio programs which air on KTWU. This is his first appearance as the villainous Mr. Green, having played Mr. Romaine for 4 seasons. He also serves as the Treasurer for ARTS, Inc.
Roslind Finlay (Catalpa Slade)
is a Carbondale KS native! She is a graduate of Fort Hays State and the Stella Adler Acting Studio in NYC. Her recent credits include: “Gloria” Gloria/Nan, “The Resurrectionist” Miss Mary, “The Rainmaker” Lizzie Curry, “Miss Holmes” Mrs. Hudson and “Drinking Habits 2” Sally. This is her first performance in “The Drunkard” and she couldn’t be more excited!
William Ross (Little Willie Hammond)
is thrilled to be back on stage reprising his role as Little Willie for a second season. Audiences may also have seen him in “The Cottage” and “Miss Holmes” at Topeka Civic Theatre this past year. William can often be found behind the scenes as a crew member for a variety of productions. When not immersed in the world of plays, he enjoys volunteering, writing, and spending time with those he loves. He sends a huge shoutout to his family, partner, and pets Vishous and thomas for their incredible support of his passion for theatre.
Lisa Greenwood (Mehitabel Cartwright / Mrs. Dangerfield)
has acting, costuming, and playwriting on her resume, as well as 20 years of teaching drama in public schools. For the past two years she has been part of Air Command under Philip Grecian’s direction. She is the ARTS, Inc. Secretary, and manages social media for their events.
Karen Hastings (Mrs. Anne Slade)
perennially played Little Mary in “Dale Easton’s ‘The Drunkard.’” A native of Topeka, she toured for many years as a member of the American Actors’ Equity Association in Missouri, Texas, Florida, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Georgia, Kentucky, and Colorado. Nearly 30 years ago, she founded the charitable nonprofit now called ARTS, Inc., the home of the Karen Hastings Players which comprises cast and crew of “Dale Easton’s ‘The Drunkard.’” She has always been part of every aspect of the production, supporting, motivating and inspiring us all as we carry on this Topeka theatre legacy. This year we are so thrilled to have her back onstage!
Suzann Godinez (Little Mary Morgan)
teaches English and directs plays at Shawnee Heights Middle School, and is a costumer for Shawnee Heights High School Theatre. She appeared in “The Good, The Bard, and The Ugly” with the Lady Shakes Theatre Company. This is her second season as Little Mary.
Sally Roediger (Mrs. Fanny Morgan)
began her theatrical career at Rice Community Center in Topeka where Karen Hastings was one of the instructors. She then became a member of the Bath House Payers, where Phil Grecian was one of her directors and teachers. This is her second season as Mrs. Morgan.
Philip Grecian (Joe Morgan)
worked with Dale Easton in the original "Drunkard" production. He has founded two theaters: one for the city of Topeka (which later became the Helen Hocker) and the other, The Showcase Dinner Theatre, the first professional paid company in Topeka. He has won awards for his radio, TV, and film work, including five Emmy nominations and an Emmy win for "Dracula," produced for KTWU’s radio-dramas-on-television by The Air Command for KTWU television and the nationwide PBS system. He has toured for over 50 years in his one man "Mark Twain on Tour," and is a published playwright with works performed around the world, including the official stage adaptation of the film, "A Christmas Story," which has seen well over 1,500 productions -- professional and amateur, "It's a Wonderful Life," which first premiered professionally Vancouver, where it ran for several years, “The Murder of Roger Ackroyd,” and “The Great Gatsby” which producers plan to take to Broadway.
