Nell (Melissa Broy Fortson)
Melissa is so excited to be back on the boards, and ecstatic to be part of this challenging and wonderful show with such a powerful cast! She is a local actor, director, and ASoB President, and has previously been seen in shows at ASoB, Tidewater Players, Ovation Dinner Theater, Toby's, and others. Being part of theater for most of her life, Melissa is VERY happy to see live theater coming back. She wishes the cast and crew an AMAZING run and thanks you for all you’ve done to make this a great, fun show! Love, hugs, and thanks to my family and friends for their support!
Armelia (Temple Fortson)
Temple is so thrilled to be a part of this cast and this production. Temple is over the moon to be in PUFFS, especially with such a talented and fun cast! Not only does she realize her dream to attend a certain school of magic, she gets to attend with some of her closest friends and her sister/bestie. Some of Temple’s other favorite roles include Anita in WEST SIDE STORY, Narrator in JOSEPH…DREAMCOAT, Gary Coleman in AVENUE Q, Berniece in THE PIANO LESSON, Jack’s Mother in INTO THE WOODS, Hannah et al in PUFFS, and Lead Diva in PRISCILLA, QUEEN OF THE DESERT. Back stage she has served as a director and a choreographer, and off stage she is a marketing manager and a proud member of ASoB board. She thanks her family and friends for always being supportive and the audiences for making this thing called theater worth every moment.
Ken (Kevin Sockwell)
Kevin is excited to be in a live theatre production once again! This is his first production with ASoB, but is excited to be doing an old favorite of "Ain't Misbehavin'" with some old friends and a few new ones, as well. Kevin is a actor and director in the Washington, DC market for several years. He hopes you enjoy the show!
Charlaine (Lydia West)
Lydia West is so ready to be back on stage with this fabulous cast! During the pandemic, she has spent her time producing, directing, and acting in online productions for both ASoB's Dialogue for Change (The Taming and Race in America) and Randallstown High School Theatre Productions (multiple productions). Her favorite recent onstage acting credits include: "Gertrude" in Hamlet (Arena Players) and "Xavia Jones" in PUFFS (ASoB). Lastly, she can't even express her joy in having her son grace the same stage in the pit for Ain't Misbehavin'--I couldn't be more proud of the work you've put into this, Child! I love you and your ever-supportive Dad the mostest!
