Producer / Director
Melissa Broy Fortson
Melissa Broy Fortson – (BTU Member, Director, Actor, ASoB President) is thrilled to be a part of bringing more people from every part of Maryland into the theater. She has been a part of community and professional theaters for over 40 years. She is a former Equity New York City actress, and has worked in Harford County, Baltimore County, and Baltimore City since she was 8 years old. She prides herself on being able to “see outside the box” and casting people in roles based on skill, as much as the desire to work. Our theater is billed as “Theater for everyone” because we not only welcome audience members and supporters from every background and age, but also encourage the participation of and seek those who are interested in being a part of theater in any way, be that on stage or backstage. We don’t let race, creed, color, sex, sexual orientation, nor religion define us, our casts and crews, or our audiences. She has directed several shows including, “Aida”, “Pirates of Penzance”, “Honk!”, “Godspell”, “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown”, “Miracle on 34th Street”, “Oklahoma”, “Puffs”, “Guys and Dolls”, “School House Rock, Live!” and “The Rude Mechanicals”. She has been seen recently in shows with ASoB in “Motherhood Out Loud”, JOB as Countess Andrenyi, Salem Players as Sister Mary Hubert, ASoB as Mrs. Carlson, and at both Spotlighters and ASoB in “Captain Hook; My Story, Or, How I Clawed My Way to the Top.”

Sound & Light Technician
Maribel Hernandez Drost
Hello, I’m Maribel and I’m so excited to be working with Georgina Farlow as one of her crew members. Lights and sound fascinate me, but the real reason I took this job is to see these amazing young artists from Camp Rock and Camp Star come to life on stage. I’m secretly cheering for Camp Rock, sorry I love Barron’s new album and can’t wait to see that young artist shine on stage. Oh also Connect Three, Nate, yep, love him too. Don’t worry we, Georgina’s crew, will make sure each camp gets equal time for the viewers to decide on the final vote of which camp wins. See you in August for the Camp Showdown, oh, and come say hi to me during intermission when I take a quick break
