Prince of Egypt - The Musical Creative

Director
Michael SafkoMichael is excited to be at the helm of ASOB's THE PRNCE OF EGYPT for his first time directing a full musical! Previous director credits include: AND THEN THERE WERE NONE, THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER, and THE MOUSETRAP at UpStage Artists in Beltsville. He previously performed at ASOB as David McGachen in WHOSE WIVES ARE THEY ANYWAY and as the Pharaoh in AIDA. He is eternally grateful to the Board at ASOB for giving him this opportunity, to the amazing crew helping him put the show together, to the incredible and passionate cast putting this show on stage, and to his family for their endless support.

Assistant Director / Props / Costumes / Lighting
Megan SafkoMegan has returned to ASOB but this time behind the scenes! She has worn many different hats for THE PRINCE OF EGYPT production including: costume designer, lighting designer, prop designer, and creative consultant. Normally she is found on the stage, her most recent productions being INTO THE WOODS with Small Town Stars (The Giant’s Wife/Baker’s Wife u/s) and AIDA with ASOB (Amneris). Megan would like to thank a lot of people: her family for their support, her cat for constantly laying on her fabrics, her son for being the most entertaining human being on Earth, and her husband for his boundless faith in her. She looks forward to reprising her role of motherhood with a new little friend coming later this year.

Robert LopezRobert is thrilled an honored to be part of the cast and crew for Artistic Synergy of Baltimore's production of THE PRINCE OF EGYPT.

Stage Manager
Brooke JacobsBrooke is excited to be back at it managing another show. She has been part of numerous shows with ASOB over the years, including AIDA, DISNEY’S DESCENDANTS, and PIRATES OF PENZANCE. She recently made her stage debut in ASOB’s MOTHERHOOD OUT LOUD. Brooke is proud of these talented performers and can’t wait for everyone to see the show!

Choreographer
Maia BedfordMaia began her dance training at Baltimore Dance Tech under the direction of Stephanie Powell and Yvonne Walker. She continued her studies at the Baltimore School for the Arts and later graduated from the Ailey/Fordham Bachelor of Fine Arts Program with honors and the Ailey School’s Independent Study Program. She has danced with Zion II, Dallas Black Dance Theatre: Encore, Infinite Grace, and Sydnie L. Mosley Dances, as well as performed with Lumina Theatre Company. Ms. Bedford has assisted choreographers Marcus Jarrell Willis and Luis Salgado and performed works by CJay Philip, Frances James, Stephanie Powell, Matthew Rushing, Jae Man Joo, Rennie Harris, Igal Perry, Vincent Hardy, and Camille DC Sutton. She has trained at the Alonzo King LINES Ballet and Bates Dance Festival, and is a 2017 New York Innovative Theatre Award Winner for “Raisin” at the Astoria Performing Arts Center. Ms. Bedford currently performs with the Dance & Bmore Ensemble. She gives thanks to God and is honored to be a part of ASOB’s THE PRINCE OF EGYPT!
