About Fiddler On The Roof, Sr.
The faculty musical has been a tradition at Tech for nearly 30 years. Because Tech is a massive campus, it is often difficult to get to know staff that are working in separate buildings. The musical gives us the chance to get to know each other, build community, and establish connections that ultimately will support student growth. It is easily one of our most cherished Tech traditions.
As we tell our staff every year, there is no requirement for musical or performing talent when staff audition for the show. The cast you are about to see is a hodgepodge of teachers, deans, assistant principals, and coaches. Some of them have experience on stage, but for some people this show is their first time performing in front of an audience. You might think that this spells disaster, but there is something magical about the faculty musical. Every year, somehow the mess turns into something beautiful at the last minute. And you may see mistakes, and you’ll probably see us laughing about it, feel free to laugh along with us.
