About Amour

Amour, the Musical

Music by Michel Legrand
Libretto by Didier van Cauwelaert
Adapted from Le Passe-Muraille
by Marcel Aymé (Les Éditions Gallimard)
English adaptation by Jeremy Sams

AMOUR was originally produced on Broadway by The Shubert Organization, Jean Doumanian Productions, Inc. and USA Ostar Theatricals.

In postwar Paris, an unassuming clerk - who secretly pines for his unhappily married neighbor - inexplicably develops the ability to walk through walls. Michel Legrand's gorgeous melodies lend an authentically French flavor to this quirky and charming romance.

AMOUR is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Tams-Witmark LLC. www.concordtheatricals.com

Arlington High School

The Arlington High School Drama Guild is the organization responsible for presenting straight plays at Arlington High School in Arlington, Massachusetts.

Shows are chosen to present four different playwright’s voices over the course of four years. This cycle includes a classic American play, a Shakespeare, a classic translated from another language and a play by a contemporary American playwright. With this cycle in place, high school students can explore a diversity of playwright’s voices as part of their education at Arlington High School.
