Daniel Hakimian (Bob Cratchit )
has been participating in theater almost non-stop since 2022 when he was convinced by his sister to audition for APOD's production of A Tale of Two Cities. Most of that has been with APOD but recently he's also branched out with Troy Community Theatre and Shakespeare in the Park. Among all the shows he's been in though, this production of A Christmas Carol actually marks his first time playing a role in a musical that is not ensemble/minor character. Outside of theater, Daniel also sings in a choir or two and works from home doing programming. In his free time that is left, he enjoys video games and learning new skills such as foreign languages, piano, and baking.
Lucille Laxon (Tiny Tim)
is a 10 year old homeschooled student. She's been on stage before in Irish Dance performances and competitions. You also may have seen her recently in the kids ensemble for TCT's production of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat". She would like to thank the amazing Emily Raasch for helping with her music! Luci is so excited to be in her first ever performance with APOD and hopes that you enjoy the show.
Magdalene Anderson (Mrs. Cratchit)
is thrilled to be making her APOD Production debut! A lifelong theatre lover, she appeared in numerous plays and musicals throughout high school, beginning with her first role as an extra in The Music Man. After taking a break during college, she is delighted to return to the stage. Magdalene loves the joy theatre brings to audiences, but her favorite part will always be the friendships and fun found backstage.
Cody Wendt (Marley/Ensemble)
is playing the character of Jacob Marley for a second time, having appeared in the role for the Regional Theatre of the Palouse production of Scrooge! the Musical last year. This is his fourth show performing with APOD; returning patrons may recognize him as Dr. Manette (A Tale of Two Cities), Dr. Craven (The Secret Garden), or Perchik (Fiddler on the Roof). He cherishes the unashamedly unhip, sincere, and sentimental quality of A Christmas Carol, and hopes to help you do the same.
John Denherder (Ghost of Christmas Present)
has developed an appreciation for live theater, watching both of his children in several middle and high school productions. Inspired by their courage and enthusiasm for acting, John has recently become involved with community theater. This is his second production with APOD and he has had a blast working with and learning from the small village it takes to put it together! John is a veterinarian at WSU, and when not tending to animals there, he enjoys time with family and friends, and exploring the Palouse with his enchanting wife.
Claudia Bishop (Ghost of Christmas Past)
has been involved in the local arts since 2020 and hasn’t been able to stop since! You may have seen her most recently in the dance ensemble of Troy Community Theatre’s Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat or APOD’s Fiddler on the Roof. Behind the scenes, Claudia loves concerts, crafting, shopping at her favorite record stores, and hanging out with her best friends Ciena and Maureen.
Nancy Dernell  (Ghost of Christmas Future)
is thrilled to be back on the stage as part of "A Christmas Carol" with such a variety of talented folk! She spends most of her time being owner/operator of Princeton Highlands in Potlatch, ID (home and Airbnb, VRBO), Software developer for College of Veterinary Medicine at WSU, worship leader at her church in Princeton, ID, wife of 1, mom of 2 grown sons married to wonderful wives, and 7 small grandchildren. Her last stage roll was a Villager in Fiddler on the Roof (APOD - 2024) and Mrs. Medlock in The Secret Garden (MCT - 2008). She is very glad that life circumstances have allowed her to be part of this wonderful production this year. It is fascinating and quite a faith exercise to see a show come together!
Emmett Brooks (Young Ebenezer)
is back after a year since his last APOD show! A lot has changed since then, he is now married, finishing up his last college semester, and “extending the family tree” for the first time this January! Though a lot has changed, APOD is still cranking out banger after banger and Emmett is hyped as nuts to sauce another puppy with them! His second Dickens show! Apologies for the lack of guillotines in this one…
Sophia Raasch (Emily/Ensemble)
is so excited to be part of the incredible cast and crew! This particular adaptation of this classic story is very near and dear to her heart. The Hallmark film adaptation of Alan Menken's A Christmas Carol has been a part of her family's Christmas movie watchlist since its release in 2004. In fact, she and her siblings can't remember a time when they didn't know all the words to all these songs... Sophia comes from a musical household and has performed in many local productions on the Palouse. When not performing, she works as a dietitian at Pullman Regional Hospital. She hopes you enjoy this unique telling of A Christmas Carol and that it will warm your hearts this holiday season, as it has her own family for over two decades. God bless you and Merry Christmas!
David Martin (Fezziwig/Ensemble)
Anya Brooks (Mrs. Fezziwig/Ensemble)
is loving this production. The music and dancing and story make her very happy. Married last December, her and her husband are excited to have their lives changed again... She is holding tradition that the Payne grandchildren are always onstage before birth. Anya loves home projects, trying new recipes, and taking walks in all weather.

has enjoyed performing in the arts since he was in elementary school. He has been involved in theater productions since the second grade, performing in school plays, college shows, and with Heritage Arts Academy here in Moscow. His first show with APOD Productions was playing Laurie in Little Women, and has since been involved in many other APOD-related events. Jake lives in Moscow, where he earned his B.A. in Liberal Arts and Culture and a Certificate of Music (Vocal and Piano Performance) from New Saint Andrews College. He also enjoys composing, performing, and arranging music—and he hopes to one day see his own original musical theater shows brought to life on stage! He hopes you enjoy this production and wishes you a Merry Christmas!
Emily Zacher (Sally/Ensemble)
Thomas Zakariasen (Child Scrooge/Ensemble)
is almost at the bottom of the Zakariasen Family pile and is delighted to be coming out of his shell on stage. Having been immersed in the theatrical world for six years now, he has been seen in many productions such as The Music Man (Harold Hill) The Secret Garden (Dickon) Something’s Afoot (Flint Kelly) Tale of Two Cities (Charles Darnay) and Daddy Long Legs (Jervis Pendleton). After being cast at Starlight Mt. Theatre in 2023, Abe began to pursue performing on the professional scene, appearing in Footloose (SMT) Newsies (SMT) and Anastasia (CST). These days he is perfectly content perusing his beautiful girlfriend around the APOD stage, and singing in the woods. Abe is very grateful to be sharing meaningful stories and music with his friends and family through theatre, and he hopes you find the show equally enjoyable. God bless us every one!
Annika VanAken (Grace Smythe/Ensemble)
is so excited to be in her second production with APOD Theatre. She had so much fun playing the fourth daughter Shprintze in APOD's Fiddler on the Roof earlier this year. Annika loves to sing, act and dance and would call herself an aspiring actor/thespian. She has been in many shows. She has played the Changeling in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Farrah the Fairy in She Kills Monsters and Little Anastasia in Anastasia to name a few. Annika is in sixth grade and loves to play volleyball, be with her friends and cuddle with her cats when not acting, dancing or singing. She wants to thank her family for all of their support with her musical theater dream. Thank you for coming and she hopes you enjoy the show! :)
JoAnn Long (Mrs. Mops)

Happy Christmas, all!
Dawson Bishop (Jonathan)
has been around musical theatre through watching his big sister in various shows with Troy Community theatre and APOD. He is typically spending his days on technology however after APOD's summer theater class he has fallen in love with performing! His first musical experience with The Fiddler on The Roof has grown his love for theatre even deeper. He still loves technology, but has EPIC the Musical in his ears and knows every single word. He is SO excited to be Jonathan and a part of the ensemble in A Christmas Carol and he LOVES all of the APOD crew. Dawson is so blessed to have found a theatre home.
Elizabeth Nelson (Martha Cratchit)
is an energetic actor who has just begun to star on stage. Having moved around a lot at a young age, she has found her place with APOD. Now starring in her first musical, Elizabeth's previous productions include her first ever performance in A Christmas Carol, The Radio Production (Tiny Tim/Turkey Boy), The Lost Child (Bedelia), and This is a Test (Chrissi). Elizabeth would like to thank her sister Rachel for inspiring her to get on stage.

She directed and had roles in hundreds of plays while on the road, and she's been blessed to be able to share her knowledge & passion with many groups in the years since.
