Fiddler on the Roof Cast

Welcome friends! Thank you so much for joining this circle in our little village. Dennis was born and raised on a small farm north of Pullman and credits his mom, who brought him and his siblings to many shows in Moscow and Pullman, for his love of theatre. In fact, a WSU Summer Palace production of Fiddler from several decades ago is Dennis’ very first theatre memory. Dennis graduated from WSU with a degree in English. He lived in New York City for 13 years, St. Paul, MN for 6 years after that, and, finally, back to the Palouse in 2009 to work for Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories where he is still employed today. His return home also saw Dennis’ transition from theatre audience member to performer. He has appeared in numerous productions at the Regional Theatre of the Palouse in Pullman: Sister Act (Curtis Jackson), Oklahoma! (Jud Fry), Les Miserables (Jean Valjean), Sound of Music (Max Detweiler), The Secret Garden (Archibald Craven), White Christmas (Bob Wallace), and most recently, Camelot (King Arthur) to name a few. In the spring of 2022, Dennis began pursuing an MFA in Theatre at the UI with an emphasis on acting. UI Productions include Amelie (Raphael Poulain), Measure for Measure (Lucio), Cabaret (Herr Schultz), and The Wife of Fabian Vitalik (Fabian). Dennis has been on a break from his studies to focus on projects at work, but, eventually, maybe in retirement, he will resume the MFA. Dennis thanks his family—immediate, extended, community, spiritual, work, and, of course, theatre! --and especially his wife, Tammy, for the ocean of encouragement, support, and love he experiences every day. Over the past twenty years, Allie Erber has had a variety of roles as singer, actress, and music teacher, but this is her first role performing in a musical! She has long loved this show and is having a blast working with APOD for the first time. Previously she has played Eve Halliday in Leave It to Psmith, Gwendolen Fairfax in The Importance of Being Earnest, and Amy Spettigue in Charlie’s Aunt, among others. Her daily life is spent making a home with her husband Jonathan and her four young daughters, the oldest of whom is making her debut as Bielke in this play!

is thrilled to be performing in Fiddler on the Roof for the third time! The show has always been one of her favorites. In her first production of Fiddler, when she was twelve, her mom play the part of Tzeitel. When not on stage, Asha spends her time homeschooling her three kids, reading books, writing, or dancing around the house. She met her husband Peter when they performed in The Wizard of Oz ten years ago. She is excited to be sharing the stage not only with Peter but also with their son Patrick!

has been on stage since she was six, but had the knack for being dramatic long before that! You may have seen her in the past as The Seamstress A Tale of Two Cities, Alice Sycamore You Can’t Take it With You or more recently, Amy March Little Women. Fiddler on the Roof has a very special place in her heart as it was one of her grandma’s favorite musicals. She hopes that you love it, laugh, cry and (in typical musical theatre tradition) leave singing!

is blessed to be part of the incredible cast and crew of Fiddler! She is excited to not only be able to play the role of Chava, but also to have her first stab at choreographing! Sophia has training in a variety of dance styles as well as vocal training and has always been a theatre kid at heart. She would like to thank her sister, Abbi, for guiding and providing feedback on the choreography for the Chava sequence. When not performing, Sophia works as a dietitian at Pullman Regional Hospital. She hopes to specialize in health and wellness for performing artists in the near future. In her free time, she can be found exploring the outdoors, jamming to music, or spending time with her family. She hopes you enjoy this beautiful story. Psalm 149:3

loves musical theater and is so excited to be in her first APOD production. She has been acting in shows for 3 years now and some of those roles include being Little Anastasia in Anastasia, The Changeling Child in A Midsummer Night's Dream and a Street Urchin in A Christmas Carol. When not singing, acting or dancing, Annika loves hanging out with her friends and five cats. She thanks her family for all of their love and support in her musical theater dream. She hopes you enjoy the show!

is very excited to be acting on stage for the first time! She loves performing and has been learning Irish dance over the past two years, which definitely helped prepare her for dancing in this show. Her favorite parts of Fiddler on the Roof are the song If I Were a Rich Man and the line she gets to say while spinning with her “sister” right near the ending. In real life, Annie is the oldest of four sisters, rather than the youngest of five. :)

is a Professor Emerita at the University of Idaho. She retired from her University responsibilities in 2012, although her husband claims it’s time for her to retire for real. Over the course of her 33 years on the faculty, Lauren led a Tree Improvement Cooperative, conducted research in Forest Genetics, taught courses in Forestry, Natural Resources, and the CORE program at the University. She developed a course, lectures and an illustrated book on “The Natural History and Culture of Chocolate”. Through the years, Lauren has appeared in many University, Regional, and local theatrical productions, including, among others, Tongue of a Bird, Picnic, Trio with Flute, Medea – Her Story, Fiddler on the Roof, Steel Magnolias, The Music Man, Rabbit Hole, and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. Lauren continues her interest in theatre and chocolate, and in her “spare time” she teaches Dance Fitness to seniors, teaches and plays competitive Mah Jongg, and creates original quilts for all the babies in her extended family.

Is a retired Firefighter of the Los Angeles City Fire Department. As an Ancient Thesbian his stage credits include: Amahl and the Night Visitors (Kasper), Carousel, West Side Story (Riff), Gigi, My Fair Lady (1st Tenor/Quartet), Open Any Door (Rock Gospel Musical), Pirates of Penzance, Twelfth Night (Feste the Clown), Play On, The Music Man (Mayor Shinn), Pickwick Papers, Oliver, Cinderella, The Secret Garden, Christmas Carol, Oklahoma and His Television Credits: Family Matters, Tour of Duty, Jake and the Fat Man, Kirk, Perfect Strangers and Melrose Place. If not performing you’ll find Min Skydiving, SCUBA Diving, on Motorcycle Rides, Racing Karts and most of all…being in Love with his Wife Gene’.

likes theater. Over the past few years he’s been in just a few shows including Anne of Green Gables (Mr. Philips), The Music Man (Quartet), Romeo + Juliet (Romeo), and 6 shows with APOD including Beauty and the Beast and The Secret Garden. He’s also had the pleasure of music directing APOD Youth’s High School Musical and directing a production of Gilbert and Sullivan’s Ruddigore. He just finished his junior year in college and loves choir, DC sports, M+M’s, and the two gremlins his parents call dogs. This show is dedicated to his three sisters.

is pleased to appear in a third show with this company, having previously performed for APOD as Dr. Manette A Tale of Two Cities and Dr. Neville Craven in The Secret Garden. This production, like those, represents for him a cherished escape from hipness and modernity into a world of tastefully antiquated attire and balladry. Away from the theatre stage, Cody works as a sportswriter for the Lewiston Tribune/Moscow-Pullman Daily News, head boys' tennis coach for Pullman High School, and freelance musician.

is excited to be in his third production of Fiddler on the Roof. Isaiah's first show was Fiddler on the Roof performed in the Beasley Coliseum with RTOP, he was five years old. Some of Isaiah's favorite roles include Gaspard in Tale of Two Cities, Fagin in Oliver!, Lumeri in Beauty and the Beast, and Jervis in Daddy Long Legs. When not doing theatre Isaiah enjoys his job at Moscow Charter School, writing, dancing, and cake! He is a pleasant fellow, charming, honest, ambitious, quite bright, and very modest. Involved in community theatre for 40 years, highlights include APOD’s All is Calm acapella ensemble, It's a Wonderful Life (Clarence) - twice, Oklahoma (Ike Skidmore), Guys and Dolls (Nicely), directing Hatcher's Jekyll and Hyde, Beast makeup design for APOD’s Beauty and the Beast, Foley/Writer/Director for Pullman Civic's Covid Theatre, and recently directing This is a Test for APOD’s One Act Festival. He enjoys graphic design with this show being one of his favorites. As a Christian, he has always had a deep respect for the Jewish culture and what it has given the world. It has been a privilege to research the role of the Rabbi and to perform with his wife Jo. Their Jewish adventures continue this summer as Jacob/Leah and Potiphar/Mrs. Potiphar in Troy Community “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Coat.” Above all, he is thankful to APOD and TCT for the opportunity to invest in the next generation!

is excited to be making his APOD debut in Fiddler on the Roof! From his early days performing in Missoula Children's Theatre productions in elementary school, Joshua discovered a passion for the stage that has only grown stronger over the years. He’s had a blast playing various roles in Troy’s community theater summer productions and is loving the chance to be part of such a classic musical with a talented cast and crew. A recent graduate of Genesee High School, Joshua is headed to BYU to study engineering—but he’ll always make time for the spotlight. He’s grateful for the friendships, memories, and magic that come with every performance!

has been acting since she accidentally walked into auditions for the high school production of Much Ado at age 9 (she got Verges, and performed a pop ballad version of Sigh No More at intermission!). Since, she's been in shows such as Into the Woods (Baker's Wife), Little Shop of Horrors (Ronette), Les Miserables (Cosette), Pirates of Penzance (Edith; twice!), Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella (Gabrielle), Beauty and the Beast (Belle), and Little Women (Meg)! Between acting and choirs and making children's audiobooks, Belle works as an editor, and has just graduated with her Master's in Creative Writing. She's always adored Fiddler, and she's beyond excited to play her first villainous role!

works as a grant writer during the day and enjoys hiking, camping, and reading in her free time. She has been part of the costume team for APOD’s Oliver!, Pickwick Papers, Play On, The Secret Garden, You Can’t Take it With You, Beauty and the Beast, and All is Calm. Onstage, she played the Laundry Lady in Beauty and the Beast, Aunt Reed/Lady Ingram in Jane Eyre; Mrs. Bardell in Pickwick Papers, and Mrs. Sowerberry in Oliver!. She loves sharing the stage with her kids and thanks her supportive husband Adri for his patience during shows.

has been doing theater for more than twenty years and this is his second time performing in Fiddler on the Roof. Favorite past roles include Sydney Carton in Tale of Two Cities and Gaston in Beauty and the Beast. Peter is excited to be in this show with his beautiful wife and son.

is a Moscow native and has lived either in or near it almost his whole life. He has been steadily involved with APOD ever since his sister convinced him to audition for A Tale of Two Cities in 2022, making Fiddler on the Roof the eighth production he has been in with them. Outside of APOD, and when not busy with his job doing programming, Daniel is interested in music, languages, and even a bit of baking from time to time.

has been involved in theater productions since the second grade, performing in school plays, college shows, and with Heritage Arts Academy here in Moscow. His first show with APOD was playing Laurie in Little Women, and he’s loved getting to work with the community for a second time on this production! Jake lives in Moscow, where he earned his B.A. in Liberal Arts and Culture and a Certificate of Music (Vocal and Piano Performance) from New Saint Andrews College. When he's not on stage, he enjoys composing, performing, and arranging music—and he hopes to one day see his own original musical theater shows brought to life on stage! He hopes you enjoy Fiddler!

is a sixth generation Idahoan who loves bringing top-level theatre to rural areas. She has joined the APOD team for quite a few shows as scenic designer and tech crew, but every once in a while, it’s fun to put on a costume and get on stage! Erin sends a heartfelt thank you to her wonderful hubby, Matt, and her four amazing kids for their support and putting up with the mess that their house becomes during a show!

works as a physician faculty at the University of Idaho’s WWAMI Medical Education Program. He has previously played in APOD’s “All is Calm”, “Beauty and the Beast”, “Secret Garden”, "Pickwick Papers", and "A Tale of Two Cities”. He and his wife, Carla, have raised 4 children in Moscow.

has been involved in theater for 20 years. She’s been in many shows with APOD and some with Rtop and Troy theater. She is convinced her husband, Caleb, is the most wonderful man in the world. Period. She and Caleb are kept busy building their first house, raising their energetic son Simon, and awaiting the arrival of their 2nd little one in December.

is a recent graduate from Genesee high school. His passions include performing, spending time with loved ones, and procrastinating everything he possibly can (much like this bio). Tyrnan’s other roles include dance core in Cinderella and Beauty and the Beast, Warren in Ordinary Days, and Joseph in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat this summer in Troy, Idaho.

is a professor in the College of Natural Resources at the University of Idaho where she researches the impacts of wildfire and drought on forests. She loves hiking, traveling, and cycling with her family. This is her first musical. She has always wanted to be a part of musical theatre but did not have the courage until her daughter (Mackenzie Waynant) insisted they try out together.

has been involved in the local arts since 2020 and hasn’t been able to stop since! You may have seen her most recently in the dance core ensemble of APOD’s Beauty and the Beast, one of her favorite credits to date. She is thrilled to be sharing the stage with her baby brother, Dawson, for the first time! Behind the scenes, Claudia loves concerts, shopping at her favorite record stores, and hanging out with her best friends Ciena and Maureen.

is a senior in high school, and by the time you read this, she will hopefully have graduated unless something goes horribly wrong. She has been acting since 1st grade and joined APOD productions in 2022 with Jane Eyre. Since then, she has performed in Tale of Two Cities, Fairy Tales, The Lost Child, and most recently Murder on the Orient Express at the Moscow High School. She hopes you enjoy the show and she also hopes that her knees don't break after a week of Russian dancing.

is thrilled to be back on the stage as part of the Anatevka population with such a variety of talented folk! She spends most of her time being owner/operator of Princeton Highlands in Potlatch, ID (home and Airbnb, VRBO), Software developer for College of Veterinary Medicine at WSU, worship leader at her church in Princeton, ID, wife of 1, mom of 2 grown sons married to wonderful wives, and 7 small grandchildren. Her last stage role was Mrs. Medlock in The Secret Garden (MCT - 2008) and she is very glad that life circumstances have allowed her to be part of this wonderful production this year. It is fascinating and quite a faith exercise to see a show come together!

is a sophomore at Moscow High School. Along with the other chorus members, he was Allie’s worst nightmare in This Is a Test; he sang and danced around London as one of Fagin’s Gang in Oliver!, and stepped in as a Stagehand in Secret Garden. He has helped build sets, painted props and enjoyed APOD’s summer theatre camp. Cody has loved being a part of the Fiddler cast and hopes you enjoy the show!

has been several shows with APOD, including Oliver! and You Can't Take It with You. She has been in numerous other community theater productions, most notably Martha Brewster in Arsenic and Old Lace and Miz Tobi Belch in Shakespeare's Twelfth Night, as well as 6 roles in Around the World in 80 Days: A Radio Play. When not acting, she likes to be at home with her cats and her husband, Mike (Rabbi)

is an up-beat 17-year-old who loves the stage! This is her second APOD production! (Her first being Oliver.) When not performing, you might find her coming up with new creative projects, spending time with her amazing friends, or practicing her choreography down the grocery store aisles. She is so grateful for the amazing cast and crew, and she hopes you enjoy the show just as much as she’s loved being a part of it!

is a PhD student studying Food Science at Washington State University. In her free time, Rachel loves crocheting, baking, and spending time with her friends and family. This is Rachel's first APOD production and she's excited to be a part of the community.

is excited to perform in his very first theater production! Patrick is an energetic six year old who loves music. He can usually be found singing his own made up soundtrack as he plays. He enjoys climbing trees, swordfighting, and playing with his little sisters.

has been involved in many an APOD show whether it be behind the scenes working on costumes or actually on stage singing and dancing. Some of her favorites have been A Tale of Two Cities, Play On! and All is Calm. Fiddler on the Roof has long been one of her favorite musicals and she is very glad to get the opportunity to be in it. There's something very special about so many different people getting together and all working to bring a story like this to life (L'Chaim!)

got into acting when he quickly filled in as an understudy for the role of Alexi in the musical Anastasia. Since then he has been in theater camp productions and was Augustus Gloop in an all children's play of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Kai loved the role of Augustus Gloop because he got to do a bit of comedy falling into the chocolate river and making the audience laugh. He just finished playing Friedrich von Trapp in The Sound of Music at Moscow Charter School. Kai likes gaming, swimming in the summer, his family, friends and cats. This is Kai's first production with APOD and he hopes you enjoy the show.

was in Fiddler on the Roof with RTOP in the fall of 2008, and she is quite pleased to be returning to Anatevka after nearly seventeen years. She has been involved with APOD since its inception in 2010, both onstage and behind-the-scenes, and some of her favorite shows include The Secret Garden, A Tale of Two Cites, The Pirates of Penzance, and Pollyanna. She was last seen onstage in Beauty in the Beast as an angry villager and a dancing china plate.

has enjoyed many APOD productions and the community they create, but this is her first experience on the other side of the curtain. Mother, grandmother, gardener and frame drum student.

is excited to be in his very first musical! He is going to be in 5th grade at Troy Elementary School and his favorite musicals are Hadestown, Newsies, and Hamilton. When he’s not at rehearsal, he loves technology and gaming with his friends. He's happy to finally be on stage, especially with his sister.

has never been in a play. Ok, that is a bit of an exaggeration. In another century, MaryAnn played a role in her high school's production of Annie. She played the one-liner servant who said, 'Blue is her best color, no red, I think.' That line was delivered effortlessly with grace and poise. Other than that MaryAnn has not been in a play, though she has been a 'theater mom' for APOD productions for four years. She is thrilled to be part of this production's ensemble in one of her very favorite plays, Fiddler On the Roof.

is excited to be performing with this lovely cast! Most recently Deborah has played Ariel (The Little Mermaid), Enchantress (Beauty and the Beast), and Cosette (Les Miserables). Outside of theater she enjoys digital art and cold war history. Deborah has plans to attend University of Washington in Seattle next year, majoring in vocal performance. Mazeltov!

will be a freshman at Moscow High School this fall. She is an avid swimmer, climber, and reader who loves to sing. When she isn't singing songs from Epic or Hamilton (or Fiddler) she can be found hanging out with her new puppy, her friends, or planning a new travel adventure. Mackenzie was in APOD's Oliver and plans to continue her theatre education through MHS and APOD courses.

is excited to be part of this production! When he’s not on stage, you can find him shooting hoops, riding his bike around the neighborhood, battling it out on Xbox, or playing card games with his cousins. This is Troy’s first theater experience, and he’s having a great time being part of the show.

is excited to make his stage debut in this production! Outside of theater, David is a business coach, composer, and choir enthusiast who enjoys helping others grow and create. He’s grateful for the chance to try something new and be part of this talented and welcoming community.

is a Sophomore at Pullman High School. The reason that he joined this production was because he wanted to beat up people on stage and trash weddings. You might have seen him previously in High School Musical (APOD Youth) as Ryan or as King Triton in The Little Mermaid (PHS). In his free time he enjoys going on long runs, lifting weights, and playing viola.

enjoys building solid foundations for others to stomp, dance, sing and throw themselves off of. He usually stays behind the scenes, but recently appeared in this Spring’s production of This is a Test as The Voice (Mike Long even got him to sing). Troy is a father of 9, father-in-law to one amazing daughter-in-law, and grandfather of two. He owns several local businesses, welcomes philosophical chats with anyone over coffee, and holding hands with his wife, Kelly.
