Amelie Eckert (YVONNE)
Born in Slovenia and raised in Dubai, U.A.E, Amelie has constantly been surrounded by a cocktail of cultures. Dialects, language, and human behavior instantly became an obsession, sparking a fascination for accents and imitations, the beginning of Amelie’s passion for performance. Amelie studied opera at Trinity Guildhall in Dubai, attended workshops at the oxford school of Drama, Guildhall and Mountview in London and finally ended up in NYC at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Amelie’s credits include: ‘Flynn O’Malley’ in “Lizzie,”’ Mrs. Cratchit,’ ‘Past ghost,’ ‘Fred’s wife’ and ‘Narrator’ in “A Christmas Carol,” ‘Sophia’ in “SISTERS,” ‘Hailey’ in “Don’t Talk to Strangers,” ‘Genie’ in “Family Business” and ‘Ella’ in “Life Sucks.”
Ginger Kipps (HANNAH)
Ginger is very happy to be working again at ATA. Some favorite roles include ‘Anna’ in “My Mother’s Bookie,” ‘Sondra’ in “Written in the Stars,” ‘Rosie’ in “The Saga of Murray’s Spin,” ‘Ms. Connors’ in “The Rubber Band Company” (ATA); ‘Madame Arcati’ in “Blithe Spirit,” ‘Arlene’ in “Next Fall,” ‘Elaine’ in the premiere of “No More Sundays,” ‘Helen’ in the premiere of “The Four Doctors Huxley” at Attic Ensemble; ‘Hecuba’ in “The Trojan Women” (Cedar Lane Stage); ‘Olga’ in “The Three Sisters” (Source Theatre Company); ‘Dasher’ in “The Eight: Reindeer Monologues” (The Space) and various roles in “The Vagina Monologues” and “Queer Monologues.” Ginger is a founding member of Around the Block. Directing projects include “Suicide Bridge” (ATA), “The Last Night of Ballyhoo” and “The Happy Journey to Trenton and Camden” (Attic Ensemble).
Sue Phillips (MARIA)
Sue began her acting career at 10 years old in South Africa, and after graduating at the University of Cape Town with a BA Speech & Drama, she went to London to study at RADA Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. On a vacation trip to New York, she fell in love with the energy of New York and emigrated here. Through her theatrical background Sue forged a career in the cosmetics industry as National Training Director at Elizabeth Arden, and has since launched major fragrance brands for iconic companies: Tiffany & CO., Burberry, Avon, Lancôme and has created fragrances for major A-list celebrities – Jamie Foxx, Katie Holmes, Zendaya, Laurence Fishbourne, Marsha Gay Harden and many others. Sue is a motivational speaker and author of The Power of Perfume. With acting being her first love, she has returned to the stage in several off-Broadway plays and is a regular member of the theatre group PAGES. Member of SAG-AFTRA, and is thrilled to be cast as ‘Maria’ in “The Agency”.
Leia Martin (LISA)
Leia started performing in High School plays and community theater. Her last performance was a live dinner-theater show where she had the honor of working with the accomplished and prolific playwright, Elise Milner. As a visual artist she prides herself in being part of a strong tribe of thriving creatives.
Debbie Workman (THEA)
Debbie is a special education teacher by trade who works with students who have multiple disabilities. She is also a theater enthusiast who attends plays not only on Broadway, but all over the city when she is able. Debbie has lent her talents to stage managing as well as acting and writing. It has been a while since she has been on stage and she is thrilled to be back – especially with this talented group of ladies and with Art in the director’s chair! .
