My Mamma: The SuperAction Hero Cast

Ms. D (Mamma Benjamin)
Ms. D. is portraying Mamma Benjamin in the Crystal Image Performing Arts Company’s production of My Mamma The Super Action Hero. She has also performed in the Company’s The Buffalo Hero: The Wayne Miner Story and Oedipus The King. Currently, she is the Stage Manager for the Shining Star’s Production of Four Men On a Couch and has performed as Sadie in Resurrection.
Sharell Williams (Lourita)
Sharell Williams is a 2021 Circle in the Square Theatre School graduate from Tampa, Florida. She has been studying acting since 2014 and is a member of SAG-AFTRA. She also holds a broadcast journalism degree from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU). Her favorite roles have been Susan in David Mamet's Race and Alicia in the Negro Ensemble Company’s Mecca is Burning. She looks forward to many more opportunities as she continues to embark on the journey of storytelling.
Alton Ray (Jerome Benjamin)
Alton Ray is a Northern CA native who classically trained at SUNY Purchase, where he received his BFA in Acting. Ray is grateful to God for his wonderful wife and two sons, and for the opportunity to help bring this story to life for the betterment of us all. NYC Off Broadway credits: He was last seen onstage at LaMama in NEC’s NO POLICY, NO JUSTICE. James Oliver (Tyrone Benjamin)
James Oliver is a talented voice-over actor from Yonkers, New York. He is excited to make his debut performance at The American Theater of Actors. From a young age, he has been captivated by television and film production and eagerly anticipates broadening his scope within the expansive realm of acting. James is also a man of faith who enjoys practicing martial arts in his spare time.
Zsay Moore (Understudy for Mamma Benjamin)
A versatile creator based in the bustling heart of New York City, Zsay Moore is armed with a Multi-Media Performing Arts degree and a fervent dedication to the arts. With a diverse array of training and project experience in the NYC area, Zsay seamlessly navigates between the stage, tech, and both sides of the camera, driven by the objective of influencing the world through artistic expression. Her portfolio boasts an impressive array of stage and film credits, including captivating performances in productions such as "Waiting for Lefty," "The Passion of Antigona Perez," "Lord Colours," "Martha’s Verse," and "Lord Just One More Chance." Zsay's versatile talent illuminates each project with a unique vibrancy, leaving a lasting impact on audiences. Furthermore, Zsay has expanded her creative footprint by producing and directing TV shows, including the uproarious "Turnt Up Komedy," a dynamic stand-up comedy show that showcases her appreciation for humor, and the endearing "Baby Babble," a thought-provoking talk show featuring young girls, exemplifying her dedication to empowering emerging voices. Raised in the vibrant streets of Harlem, LeeSandra Moore's culinary expertise reflects the rich heritage of her upbringing, while her heart finds inspiration in the diverse energy of Brooklyn. With over 25 years of experience as an accomplished chef and baker, LeeSandra seamlessly weaves her knowledge of nutrition and culinary techniques into a tapestry of flavors that delight the senses and nourish the soul. While honing her culinary craft, LeeSandra discovered a passion for the dramatic arts while working as a caterer on set. This ignited a creative spark, leading her to delve into the world of acting and film/stage management. Whether orchestrating a culinary masterpiece or contributing behind the scenes on stage and screen, LeeSandra's mission remains unwavering: to create experiences that are as visually captivating as they are delectable. Her theatrical journey has been interwoven with a background in agricultural and commercial projects, underscored by her BS degree in Imaging and Photographic Technology from the Rochester Institute of Technology. Beyond the stage and kitchen, LeeSandra finds joy in being an urban gardener. Currently, LeeSandra resides in Harlem, NY with her family, where she continues to infuse her culinary and artistic passions into every endeavor.
