Violin (Chloe Fedor)
Chloe Fedor is a violinist known for her “lovely, plush, seductive tone” (New York Times), her “soulful, virtuosic” playing and “impeccable technical control” (Opera News). Chloe is artistic advisor and concertmaster of Lakes Area Music Festival’s baroque series, principal violin of the Grammy award-winning ensemble Apollo’s Fire, a member of the “outstanding” (The New Yorker) baroque band ACRONYM, and frequent chamber soloist with Four Nations Ensemble. Sought out for her thoughtful and charismatic leadership, Chloe has had recurring guest concertmaster/soloist roles with Amor Artis, Bach Vespers at Holy Trinity, Ensemble Altera, Lyra Baroque Orchestra, New York Baroque Incorporated, The American Classical Orchestra, and Trinity Wall-Street Baroque Orchestra, as well as principal roles in Early Music New York, Mercury Chamber Orchestra, Oklahoma Bach Choir, Oregon Bach Festival, and The Sebastians. She also appears in multi-faceted roles with Tafelmusik, Carmel Bach Festival, The English Concert, Handel and Haydn Society, Seraphic Fire, Staunton Music Festival, and Tucson Baroque Festival. In 2018, Chloe was featured on Broadway as the onstage baroque violinist in “Farinelli and the King.”
Violin (Augusta McKay Lodge )
Augusta McKay Lodge is an award-winning historically informed violinist, enjoying a blossoming career as leader and soloist at a young age. Already an experienced leader in the field, McKay Lodge performs regularly as concertmaster with Les Arts Florissants and Les Musiciens de Saint-Julien, and recently with Opera Fuoco at the Theatre des Champs-Elysees. She has also guest directed the Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra Chamber Players as a substitute for Richard Egarr. In the past, she has held concertmaster of Bach Akademie Charlotte, The American Classical Orchestra, and Teatro Nuovo. As a soloist, McKay Lodge has enjoyed multiple concerto appearances with the Indianapolis Baroque Orchestra, Juilliard415, and Voices of Music. She has appeared in Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall, the Concertgebouw’s Kleine Zaal, the Metropolitan Museum, the Kosciuszko Foundation, and William Christie’s festival Dans les Jardins de William Christie. A regular violinist with Voices of Music, she solos in numerous 4k high-definition videos on their successful YouTube channel. McKay Lodge’s discography includes award-winning, globally recognized solo albums Beyond Bach and Vivaldi and Corelli’s Band (Naxos), and an equally acclaimed chamber music disc with her sister Georgina McKay Lodge, J.G. Graun: Chamber Music from the Court of Frederick the Great (Brilliant Classics).
Violin (Aisslinn Nosky)
A unique and dynamic violinist, Aisslinn Nosky has captivated audiences around the world with her innovative interpretations and impeccable technique. Her fierce passion for early music and skill as a soloist, director, and conductor has generated robust appreciation by press and audiences alike. Hailed as “superb” by The New York Times and “a fearsomely powerful musician” by The Toronto Star, widespread demand for Aisslinn continues to grow. As a soloist and director Aisslinn has collaborated with the New World Symphony, the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, Holland Baroque, Portland Baroque Orchestra and Juilliard415. She was a core member of Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra from 2005 to 2016. Aisslinn served as Principal Guest Conductor of the Niagara Symphony from 2016 to 2019 and was Guest Artist-in-Residence of the Manitoba Chamber Orchestra from 2019 to 2023. Currently Aisslinn is an Artistic Leader of Bach Akademie Charlotte in North Carolina. Since 2011, Aisslinn has served as concertmaster of Boston’s Grammy-winning Handel and Haydn Society. Founded in 1815, the Handel and Haydn Society is one of the world’s longest continuously performing musical organizations. Their most recent recordings of the complete Mozart violin concerti with Aisslinn as soloist and director were released in 2024 on the CORO label.
Violin (Edson Scheid )
Edson Scheid has been praised for his “polished playing” (The Strad) and for being a “virtuoso violinist” (The Boston Globe). His performance of Strauss’s song Morgen at Carnegie Hall alongside Joyce DiDonato and Il Pomo d’Oro was described as follows: “The concertmaster, Edson Scheid, proved a worthy foil as violin soloist” (The New York Times). A native of Brazil, Edson Scheid is based in New York City, where he performs with some of the city’s leading ensembles, including the Orchestra of St. Luke’s, Trinity Baroque Orchestra and The American Classical Orchestra. He performs on both modern and period instruments throughout the USA, and frequently tours in Europe, Asia, North and South America with such ensembles as Les Arts Florissants and Il Pomo d’Oro. His recent solo violin album releases, “Paganini 24 Caprices” (Naxos) and “On Paganini’s Trail… H. W. Ernst and more” (Centaur), have been critically acclaimed. He holds degrees from the Universität Mozarteum Salzburg, the Yale School of Music (recipient of the Broadus Erle Prize) and the Juilliard School (recipient of a Kovner Fellowship).
