About Rococo Repast: Season Opening Concert

Rococo Repast will celebrate the season opening by presenting three exquisite chamber works that illuminate the rich musical tapestry of the late 18th century. The program will showcase the interconnected world of three master composers: Michael Haydn, J.C. Bach, and W. A. Mozart. These leaders shaped the Classical era and defined its musical style. This elegant Salon Concert will take place at the iconic Metropolitan Club on New York City's upper east side. The evening begins with a Cocktail reception at 6:00PM, and the musical performance starts at 7:00PM.

Featured Soloists: Melanie Williams and David Dickey

The ACO is devoted to preserving and performing the repertoire of 17th, 18th and 19th century composers.  By playing the music on original instruments and using historic performance technique, we attempt to recreate the sounds an audience would have experienced when the music was written and first performed.  We pass along skills and appreciation for this practice to future generations through concert performances and educational programs.
