CALVIN MacLEAN (Associate Director) Calvin MacLean is Professor Emeritus and served as Department Head of Theatre and Artistic Director of the Clarence Brown Theatre Company for fifteen years until his retirement in 2021. During his distinguished career at the University of Tennessee, he directed numerous acclaimed productions including Amadeus, Sweeney Todd, Candide, A Streetcar Named Desire, and The Threepenny Opera. Calvin is delighted to assist his friend Lisa Soland as Associate Director for PAT: THE PLAY at the Jenny Boyd Theatre.
JEANNINE BROWN (Stage Manager/Assistant Director) is very pleased to be working with Ms. Soland again, after stage managing the world-premiere of Pat: The Play last October and Soland's play Dr. Biscotti & the Human Condition in 2024. Jeannine is retired from the Air National Guard, runs a small family farm with her husband, and homeschools her two handsome children. Thank you to Alex, George, and Harrison for always supporting her artistic endeavors.
MIGUEL J. SANTIAGO (Lighting Designer) is a lighting and media designer currently based in Knoxville, TN. He expects to graduate from the University of Tennessee in May of 2027 with an MFA in Design with concentrations in Lighting and Media. Miguel has worked in numerous theatres across the Eastern U.S. some of which include the Clarence Brown Theatre (LORT-D), North Carolina Stage Company, Clayton Performing Arts Center, and Gretna Theatre. GREG HELTON (Prop & Set Manager/Sound) Mr. Helton is excited to be working on his sixth production with Ms. Soland. Previous shows with her include the world permiere of Pat: The Play, Waiting, Sergeant York: The Play, Inspired: a Drama With Music!, and Dr. Biscotti and the Human Condition. This is his second time working behind the scenes, and is so looking forward to Pat at the Jenny Boyd Theatre.
CHARLENE BLEDSOE (Costume Director) With extensive experience in costume design, construction, and coordination for large and small cast community theater productions, Charlene is pleased to be Pat's Costume Director. She recently costumed Inspired! and Dr. Biscotti and the Human Condition, original plays by Ms. Soland, and designed and coordinated costumes for the Theatre 23 production of Women of Lockerbie. She is currently the wardrobe mistress for The Last Call Theatre Group in Lenoir City, Tennessee.
PAISLEY REYNOLDS (House Manager/Box Office) Paisley Reynolds is thrilled to serve as House Manager for this show! She recently stage-managed Watchers, assistant stage-managed Thespis Thinks and Just the Ticket, assistant sound-managed Discovering Amelia, and crewed for Clue and Heathers. With six years of onstage and backstage experience, Paisley is studying at Pellissippi State Community College to advance her stage management career!
MELANIE EWBANK (Director) Melanie is an accomplished director, actor, and playwright, having produced dozens of plays and play festivals. A classically trained, award-winning actress, she holds hundreds of professional credits across Los Angeles and regional theaters. Her 10-minute plays have been produced throughout the U.S. and have been toured in both adult and juvenile detention centers. Melanie is a published children's book author and currently serves as a ghostwriter for a popular ongoing, online murder mystery series.
