Dear Friend,
My world-premiere play PAT tells the inspirational story of Coach Pat Summitt. I will also be performing the role. We have received the blessing of the Pat Summitt Foundation!
The script was completed in February of this year. We then held three readings of the play for members of the Pat Summitt Foundation and close friends of Pat, hoping to receive their feedback and blessing. The response was overwhelmingly positive; they loved the play! We have booked a four-week run at the Old City Performing Arts Center in downtown Knoxville. The play will open on October 3 and run for four weeks, closing on October 26. Following the run, we hope to take the play on the road to Pat Summitt’s hometown of Henrietta, Tennessee.
As you know, producing a play requires upfront funding to cover expenses such as theatre rental, props, costumes, set, posters, programs, advertising, a director, and a design team, etc. Our goal is to raise $19,000 by October 1, 2025. The play, PAT, is rich with themes of hard work, discipline, and faith-based values. We believe that Pat’s message—and the message of this play—will inspire, encourage, and positively impact those who attend.
