JEREMY RUBIN (Jeremy, Vince, & Fred)
Jeremy Rubin develops stories, real estate, and people. He is the author of Have Faith... I Will Wait on You and returns to ACT on Stage for his second stage appearance as an adult, following his role in the production of Pipeline. In Black Man Goes to Therapy, Jeremy rejoins the ACT on Stage family not only as an actor, but as a writer, debuting his first original play. He is the founder of FACE Media and TNGG Developers, with 18 townhomes currently in the permitting process. Jeremy’s purpose is to heal through the power of story, but his most important role is being a father to Caleb, Lee’Andrew, and Hope.
FRANKLIN JOHNSON (Dr. Joshua)
Franklin Johnson, is making his 4th Acts on Stage appearance. He was part of the debut & all-Black male production of "12 Angry Men" and 2025 production's of Sadie's Kitchen and Detroit'67. As a teen and young adult he performed under Michelle Lang-Raymond with Heart & Soul Productions. Franklin is grateful for the support of his wife of 24 and a half years, Samantha and his 2 adult children, Gianni & Zaria, his extended family, and the entire Acts on Stage family for this opportunity! ZAKIYA CARTER (Nina & PJ)
Zakiya Carter (Nina/Lil PJ) is honored to make her stage debut with Acts on Stage, where she has often worked behind the scenes helping bring productions to life. Though new to performing, she has a natural love for storytelling, creativity, and fostering meaningful community connections. As an event planner, Zakiya is passionate about creating unique experiences that inspire, uplift, and leave lasting impact. She embraces this moment as a beautiful step into purpose and artistic expression. JOSHUA MICAH WEBB (Officer & Joseph)
JOSHUA WEBB is making his 6th stage appearance at Acts On Stage. He is a professional actor, mentor, Recreational Leader and Varsity basketball coach at Denny Middle School International. Also works as a barista at the Scene in South Park! Joshua’s stage credits include prominent roles in “Pipeline”, “A Soldier’s Play”, “KingX” and “Raisin in the Sun”. COURTNEY WILLIAMS (Doctor & Meadow)
Courtney Williams (Meadow) is ecstatic to be making her professional debut with Acts on Stage presents Black Man goes to Therapy! She has previously performed in various musicals throughout high school and college. Courtney recently relocated to Seattle from Florida and is excited to make her mark in stage productions and future projects to come. When not on stage, she can be found pursuing a second bachelor’s degree in Nursing at Pacific Lutheran University. Her support stems from her partner, classmates and friends! JEFFREY L. CHEATHAM II (William Wright)
Jeffrey Lee Cheatham II is a Seattle-based actor and storyteller who began his acting career in 2017. He has since built a strong presence on stage and screen, known for performances that center authenticity, emotional depth, and social impact. A frequent collaborator with Acts On Stage Theater, Cheatham has appeared in 12 Angry Men, Pipeline, and A Soldier’s Play. His screen work includes projects with Adult Swim and Nintendo, and he starred as Davis in the independent film Homeless or Right at Home, now streaming on Tubi. In addition to acting, Cheatham is a production associate and asst. marketing coordinator for Acts On Stage and serves as the program coordinator for the Seattle Urban Book Exchange. He is also a children’s book author committed to amplifying underrepresented voices through storytelling. Cheatham is represented by TCM Models & Talent. CARL COVINGTON (Elliott & Duke)
Carl Covington is making his second appearance with Acts On Stage, having previously portrayed Private James Wilkie in A Soldier’s Play. With over 11 years in the entertainment industry, he has performed in a variety of acting roles and worked as a stuntman, coordinator, and double. Professionally, Carl has spent the past seven years as a clothier with Beckett & Robb in downtown Seattle, helping clients present their best selves through custom menswear. He is also involved with The Breakfast Group, supporting mentorship and opportunities for at-risk youth. Carl is grateful for the support of his family and community.
ARIEL DAVIS (Ms Maria & Ms. Kat)
Her passion for performance blossomed at the Union Gospel Mission and her beloved church home, eventually leading her to runways, a national commercial, and the spontaneity of improv. A dedicated advocate for community , Ariel holds a Bachelor’s from the University of Washington Tacoma and a Master of Public Administration from Seattle University. At Seattle U, she specialized in collaborative governance .. skills she now actively weaves into her leadership in education & youth development at Seattle Housing Authority. Coming from a proud lineage of entrepreneurs she learned the power stepping out on faith. Ariel proudly works alongside her mother to strategically grow and flourish their family floral business. She is deeply fueled by a heart for the community and a belief in the transformative power of connection. Ariel is immensely grateful for her family’s unwavering support and the opportunity to inspire others through the arts.
