Fa'izah Bradford (Sadie )"Fa’izah Bradford (Sadie) is delighted to make her first stage appearance with Acts On Stage, after a long hiatus from the theater, which began at the historic Langston Hughes Performing Arts Institute. She has enjoyed a robust and diverse career spanning across the private, public, non-profit, and legislative sectors. She currently serves as a coach, consultant, and ministry leader with a passion and purpose for people and transformation. Fa’izah is grateful for the support of her husband, Corey, family, and entire community – giving special thanks to the Acts On Stage family for this opportunity. Selena Whitaker Paquiet (Vesta )Selena has been a staple in the Seattle theatre community since the age of 11. She is a singer-songwriter and self-taught bassist for the now retired band NighTraiN, the first all women of color punk rock band. She worked with Unexpected Productions performing in Theatresports® and long-form improvisation shows and currently serves on their Board of Directors. She also spent more than 15 years travelling the US and Canada as a stand-up comedian, opening for such comedians as Carolyn Rae. She has many appearances in film and television; and for the last 15 years, she has produced the micro-music festival, Hoodstock, which hosted such performers as Whitney Mongé, Shaina Shephard and The Black Tones, to name a few. Selena previously served 6 years on the Board of Directors for Northwest Folklife. She is very excited to be in this current production of Sadie's Kitchen, her first opportunity working with director Isiah Anderson, Jr. and Acts on Stage.
Rosa Nicole Booker (Clarice)Spanning from elementary to high school, Rosa Nicole Booker (Clarice), participated in community and school plays and dance recitals leading to her attendance at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in L.A on an art scholarship from the Links WA chapter at the age of 17. She then was accepted to Chapman University on scholarship in Orange, CA where she earned a B.A. in Theater & Dance, was cast in Marisol and He Who Gets Slapped, and traveled with Chapman’s nationally ranked Reader's Theatre group. She is more recently an indie author of novel The Monster in My Room and children’s book Tot’s Big House. Michael Ling (Cedric) Michael grew up in Riverside California with 6 brothers and sisters. The 41-year-old
rookie actor shares his life with his two teenagers, and together they enjoy weekly
barbecues, movies, hiking, sports and all the rest the Pacific Northwest has to offer.
Michael was inspired to join this cast of actors because his daughter pushed him to join.
She said “I think you should see how hard it is so you know what I go through. Michael
is also quite passionate about the arts and sharing experiences and stories. This is
expressed through writing, photography, public speaking and filmmaking. Michael truly
knows no limits and makes the most of all that life has to offer.
Darryl Williams (Mr. Cooper)"Give me the beginning. In the end, I'll find a way". Darryl Williams is a dedicated father of four from Joliet, Illinois. Currently portraying Mr. Cooper, He brings his rich life experiences to the stage, infusing his performances with authenticity and depth. Formally, he played the role of "Wolf" in the Acts On Stage's production of "Two Trains Running". also Played the role as "Sgt. Vernon Waters" in " A Soldier's Play". A passionate reader, Darryl constantly seeks to learn and grow, using his knowledge to enhance his craft. With a love for storytelling, he aims to inspire others through his roles and share the power of theatre.
Philip Jacobs (Steve)Philip "Sharp Skills" Jacobs is a modern-day renaissance man, blending his talents as an actor,
award-winning hip-hop artist, entrepreneur, speaker, and author. Currently starring in the production "Sadies Kitchen as Steve. As the founder of Rebel Firm, LLC, Philip leads
innovation across various industries. A Seattle Pacific University alum, he earned a bachelor’s
degree in business administration and received the university’s Medallion Award in 2019. He
holds a PMP certification and is the creator of Reveal the Elephant, a groundbreaking racial
equity board game. With multiple books and albums under his belt, Sharp Skills has made his
mark in the entertainment industry, appearing in projects like Present Time, The Huggabug
Club, and Kidsongs. Originally from Inglewood, CA, Philip now calls Washington State home,
raising his two sons, Philip Jr. and Jonathan. His mission is to inspire and uplift through every
endeavor, from the stage to the studio.
Cassandra Karch (Val)Cassandra “Cassie”Karch (Val) is overjoyed to be making her professional stage debut with Acts on Stage presents Sadie’s Kitchen. She has previously been in small holiday skits performed with her children and she has performed cultural dances with her former church. Cassie who was born and raised in Seattle, Washington, is a self-published author, her book is titled Identity Cry-Sis. She writes a weekly blog on her website cassiekarch.com and occasionally performs her poetry at open mics around Seattle. Her day job is a clinical data entry specialist with a community health center. Franklin Johnson (FBI Agent #1)Franklin Johnson, is making his 2nd Acts on Stage appearance. He was part of the debut & all-Black male production of "12 Angry Men". As a teen and young adult he performed under Michelle Lang-Raymond with Heart & Soul Productions. Franklin is grateful for the support of his wife of 23 years, Samantha and his 2 adult children, Gianni & Zaria, his extended family, and the entire Acts on Stage family for this opportunity!
