JEFFREY L CHEATHAM II ("Private C.J Memphis")"Jeffrey Cheatham II is proud to return to Acts On Stage for his fourth collaboration with the company, having previously performed in 12 Angry Men, Pipeline, and Story of an Off-Brand Band 2.0. Beginning his acting career in 2018, Jeffrey quickly established himself as a versatile performer. With “A Soldier’s Play”, he celebrates his tenth stage performance—a testament to his dedication and passion for storytelling.
Beyond theater, Jeffrey has expanded his craft into film, television, and commercial work. He has appeared in campaigns for notable brands like Adult Swim and Nintendo. In film, he starred as Davis in the independent feature “Homeless or Right at Home”, currently streaming on Tubi. Jeffrey is grateful for every opportunity to bring powerful narratives to life, whether on stage or screen. He continues to push boundaries and is excited to contribute his talents to each new project."
CARL COVINGTON ("Private James Wilkie")Carl L Covington Has been acting in film and television since 2014. This is his first time acting on stage.
He has committed to mastering his craft by being willing to step out of stereotypical roles for challenges that can expand his versatility and resume for future opportunity.
When Carl is not filming you will find him Managing a custom suit shop for Beckett and Robb, right in the heart of downtown Seattle On sixth and Union. Where he suits up some of Seattle’s finest and most respected people.
Carl is also vocal about equality in his community and place of work. He has been involved with the Breakfast Group a foundation that finds mentors for inner city youth in Seattle, and has been on various podcast and platforms, speaking out on racial justice, racial equality, and advocating for Black financial literacy.

JOHN DUGAW ("Captain Charles Taylor")John Dugaw (Captain Taylor) makes his Acts on Stage debut with this production. When not writing software and avoiding people, John can be found in audition rooms all around the Seattle-Tacoma area looking for the next great story to tell. Recent production credits include prop master for Blue Hour Theatre Group’s Gregory Award nominated "The Plague Master General", understudy for all male roles in Dukesbay Productions “Taking Leave”, and ensemble for Renton Civic Theatre’s “The Full Monty”. John is thankful to be surrounded by such a talented and welcoming community of actors. They blessed him at every rehearsal with the impetus to tell this story well, laughter to make the journey bearable, and needed community. May you find courage to do what is right even when the cost is high and most certainly when the outcome is in doubt.
DAVID HALL ("Lieutenant James Byrd")Dave Hall (Lt. Byrd) began his acting career in junior high with ‘Inherit the Wind’ and followed up as the
title role in ‘The Music Man’ in high school. At the University of Kansas, Dave performed in multiple
musicals and Shakespearean plays. He was even in a Greek tragedy and starred in ‘The Velveteen
Rabbit’ - thankfully, not at the same time! At Walt Disney World, Dave could be seen at the Magic
Kingdom in costume as Goofy, Tigger, Captain Hook & Geppetto (also not at the same time). In Seattle,
he has performed in several commercials, training videos and Jim French’s ‘Theater of the Mind’. Dave
wishes to thank the entire AOS team for putting up with his character’s foul mouth for two months!

LEON HUGGINS ("Captain Richard Davenport")Leon Huggins Jr, who is playing Captain Davenport, is extremely proud to be joining
Acts on Stage for their production of A Soldier’s Play. He started his acting career in
Olympia, Wa and his love for the craft led him to New York City where he graduated
from New York Film Academy. Leon’s also known for his role as Mitchel in Cry It Out
(inD Theater) and Chilli /Jabber in In The Blood (Glenn Hughes Penthouse theater). He
wants to thank his family for dealing with his nutty behavior. Quote of the day “Violence

PHILLIP JACOBS ("Private First Class Melvin Peterson )Philip "Sharp Skills" Jacobs is a modern-day renaissance man, blending his talents as an actor,
award-winning hip-hop artist, entrepreneur, speaker, and author. Currently starring in A Soldier's
Play as Private First Class Melvin Peterson, a role made famous by Denzel Washington, he
brings a commanding presence to the stage. As the founder of Rebel Firm, LLC, Philip leads
innovation across various industries. A Seattle Pacific University alum, he earned a bachelor’s
degree in business administration and received the university’s Medallion Award in 2019. He
holds a PMP certification and is the creator of Reveal the Elephant, a groundbreaking racial
equity board game. With multiple books and albums under his belt, Sharp Skills has made his
mark in the entertainment industry, appearing in projects like Present Time, The Huggabug
Club, and Kidsongs. Originally from Inglewood, CA, Philip now calls Washington State home,
raising his two sons, Philip Jr. and Jonathan. His mission is to inspire and uplift through every
endeavor, from the stage to the studio.
STEFAN JEFFREY ("Private Louis Henson" )Stefan Jeffrey:
Seattle native born and raised in the Central District, Stefan loves to help his community in any way he can from providing food and clothes to the homeless with his church or volunteering at “Clean Greens Farmers Market” located 124th 21st Ave Seattle Wa Sat/Sun 11am-2pm.
He is also an upcoming artist who loves performing Hip-Hop, RnB, and Gospel music.
He is a big fan of movies and musical theatre from the MCU to Grease. This will be his first professional stage appearance.
MICHAEL LING ("Corporal Bernard Cobb")Michael grew up in Riverside California with 6 brothers and sisters. The 41-year-old rookie actor shares his life with his two teenagers, and together they enjoy weekly barbecues, movies, hiking, sports and all the rest the Pacific Northwest has to offer. Michael was inspired to join this cast of actors because his daughter pushed him to join. She said “I think you should see how hard it is so you know what I go through. Michael is also quite passionate about the arts and sharing experiences and stories. This is expressed through writing, photography, public speaking and filmmaking. Michael truly knows no limits and makes the most of all that life has to offer.
CHARLIE MORRISON ("Captain. Charles Wilcox" )Charlie Harding Morrison is an emerging actor making his professional stage debut with Acts on Stage presents A Soldier’s Play. He has previously worked behind the scenes in the film industry and occasionally wound up in front of the camera as a background actor and is excited to be taking a deeper dive into the art of acting. In addition to his newfound enthusiasm for acting he also recently made his debut as a set designer and scenic painter with Annex Theatre in Capitol Hill, cementing his new passion for the theatre arts. Outside of theatre, he is a freelance graphic designer and a talented visual artist. He is grateful for the support of his wonderful friends and community in the Seattle theatre and arts scene who have welcomed him with open arms. He is eager to take the stage with his supportive cast mates and to join in with companies like Acts On Stage, Annex Theatre, and beyond as he endeavors into his future in the theatre arts here in Seattle. MICHAEL WALKER ("Corporal Daniel Ellis" )MICHAEL WALKER (Corporal Ellis) is thrilled to return to Acts On Stage Theater. With a passion for music and performance, he is grateful for the opportunities this theater has provided in pursuing his dreams. Michael was last seen in King X (Rashad) and previously in 12 Angry Men (Juror #8). He extends heartfelt thanks to his family and friends for their unwavering support, as well as to the incredible cast and crew for making this experience truly rewarding.

DARRYL WILLIAMS ("Sergeant Waters")DARRYL WILLIAMS (Sergeant Waters)
"Give me the beginning. In the end, I'll find a way". Darryl Williams is a dedicated father of four from Joliet, Illinois. Currently portraying Sergeant Waters, he brings his rich life experiences to the stage, infusing his performances with authenticity and depth. Formally, he played the role of "Wolf" in the Acts On Stage's production of "Two Trains Running". A passionate reader, Darryl constantly seeks to learn and grow, using his knowledge to enhance his craft. With a love for storytelling, he aims to inspire others through his roles and share the power of theatre.
