Legally Blonde: The Musical is coming to American Canyon High School on April 19, 20, 21, 26,27, 28! With music and lyrics by Laurence O’Keefe Nell Benjamin, a novel by Amanda Brown, and based on the 2001 motion picture “Legally Blonde," American Canyon High School is proud to introduce an enthusiastic blonde. This musical follows the journey of Elle Woods, an effervescent sorority girl who chases after her true love, Warner Huntington III as he heads off to Harvard Law to “become serious.” Elle Woods works hard to get into this prestigious institution and finally aces her LSAT, only to realize upon arriving that Warner has a new girlfriend, a preppy brunette. Elle discovers she must fight harder than she thought to win him back. In the process, she becomes a great lawyer and realizes that there is more to life than she thought before. Brace yourself for an unforgettable pink-hued spectacle with infectious energy and music! 

ACHS Theatre Arts is a growing, passionate group of students in Drama 1 & 2, Advanced Drama, and Musical Theatre and participating in after-school productions. We are proud to present two full-length shows every year as well as "Winter One-Acts" in January. Theatre is a unique learning environment and one of the most authentic project-based learning possible. Students collaborate to bring a show to life and present it to friends, peers, and community members.

We encourage all ACHS students to join the Theater Arts department by taking Drama 1 or 2, Musical Theatre, auditioning for Advanced Drama, or joining the American Canyon Drama Club. There are many opportunities where you can participate in this department, either onstage or behind the scenes. Experience is not required! All are welcome to experience the spirit, dedication, and talent of American Canyon High School's theatre family.

Our goal this year is to push the boundaries and be ourselves! Similar to our new season theme ‘Limitless.’ Growth in acting skills, technical aspects, and parent support are our next steps. We hope you will join us on our learning journey as we delve into classics, contemporary, and playwriting skills. You'll be surprised by the many great adventures of ACHS Theatre Arts!
