Every four years, the high school students at ALCS present Theatre for Change as their fall production. Theatre for Change allows students to address issues in society that they want to bring to light and help audiences think about.  We desire to use the fine arts as a way to bring awareness to issues in our culture and society combined with opportunities for people to respond to those issues.  Often, Theatre for Change will partner with a non-profit organization in our community to help inform and provide response opportunities. 

This year's Theatre for Change production is very special to the ALCS Community.  One of the ALCS high school teachers, Curtis White, who is one of the leaders for ALCS's A.C.T. Group (ALCS Challenges Trafficking) has been telling the story of a boy named Tarique over the past six years in the Middle/High School Chapel. This summer, Mr. White, Pastor Sarah, and a group of fine arts students began the work of taking the story and music shared in these chapels and making it a stage production. Our fall 2024 Theatre for Change production Tarique's Story is the result of that work.

Tarique's Story is the story of a boy whose sister is taken away and his journey to find her, find his own identity, and understand the power of choosing justice, mercy, and goodness. The story is told through multiple theatrical and fine art mediums and includes a script, music, and art created by ALCS high school students from Curtis White's original work.

Abundant Life Christian School (ALCS) is a K-12 Christian School located at 4901 E Buckeye Road in Madison, WI.
