Music and Theatre Department

Under the direction of Leo Baughman, the Pagosa Springs Music Department includes several performing groups. These are the Concert Band, Concert Choir, and Jazz Band. These groups are all active in several performances throughout the school year as well as festivals at many of the surrounding colleges and universities. Each of these groups have won honors and trophies at competitions in Denver. In addition to these groups, the department has an Intro to Guitar class as well as the Americana Class, under the direction of Bob Hemenger. Our drama department is led by Sean Downing. The Spring musical is currently under the direction of Krisha Doocy who is also the current Artistic Director for Curtains Up Pagosa, our local community theatre.
