Join us for the 2021 Upper School production of Antigone. The show is based on the play written by Sophocles and is translated by Ian Johnston. In this classic Greek tragedy, Antigone, the daughter of Oedipus, wishes to bury her dead brother Polyneices but is forbidden to do so by the King of Thebes. Driven by a fierce sense of justice and the conviction that the gods are on her side, Antigone defies the order and a string of tragic events ensues. Oakcrest theatre teacher Dr. Kristin O'Malley will direct this production.
