SOUTH JEFFCO CHILDREN'S THEATER

Mortensen Elementary School hosts the South Jeffco Children’s Theater which provides opportunities for students in grades 3-8 to discover the joys of musical theater. It began in 2009 and has offered not only a full musical production each year, but also summer programs as well. Productions include costumes, sets, props, makeup, and all of the facets of the theater experience.

We are led by our team of highly qualified theater directors – Mr. Mark Chorney, Music Teacher and Musical Director, Mrs. Deb Brown, Art Teacher and Artistic Director, Mrs. Susan Corbett, Financial Secretary and Choreographic Director, and Mrs. Gayle Hann, Attendance Secretary and Costume Director.
