Welcome to Mechanicsburg!

Mechanicsburg High School is in its 10th year of musical performances reprisal! The school has a rich history of musical theater going back to 1985 when then director and choir instructor, Jacqueline Howell, brought "Bye, Bye Birdie" to the stage there. Many great shows followed until an 11 year drought from 2005-2016. Then, local interest sparked a revival in 2016 and "Oklahoma!" was staged in the spring of 2017 to rave reviews. The cast and crew continue to amaze all with their performances year after year.
Our program is currently part of the Miami Valley High School Theatre Association. MVHSTA membership gives us opportunities for 3rd party, unbiased adjudication of our shows and provides valuable feedback to individual actors and the directors. Opportunity for recognition comes every June at the annual MVHSTA Showcase on the stage of the Shuster Center in Dayton. In addition, the MVHSTA is part of the Jimmies, the Junior Tony Awards, and nominates 2 students every year to attend the annual competition in New York City.
2025 MVHSTA Award winners included:
Merit for Lead Actress, Ava Johnson, The Lion
