CULTURAL CENTER MISSION

The Mauldin Cultural Center was created to establish, develop and promote a cultural system that celebrates the Mauldin community, leverages the arts for the economic benefit of the City and its citizens, and strives to give all citizens and visitors the ability to experience and participate in artistic and cultural activities in an effort to continually develop a more vibrant community.

CULTURAL CENTER PROGRAMS

We primarily serve the Mauldin, Greenville, Simpsonville, and Fountain Inn communities, hosting various events including food and music festivals, live concerts, a farmers market, Broadway productions, a public art trail, and holiday festivities. The center is also home to arts education classes in voice, guitar, wood carving, pottery, and multi-media arts.

STARTING OUR THEATRE

Mauldin has been an underserved community for in-school and afterschool youth theatre options. Wanting to fill the void in our community, we established the Mauldin Youth Theatre (MYT) in October 2017. There is no fee to audition and our participation fee is very low, making our program affordable for youth of varying backgrounds.

We cast both experienced and beginner youth actors, believing everyone has to start somewhere. Since its beginning, MYT has offered four productions, including Disney’s The Lion King, JR., James and the Giant Peach, JR., Shrek: The Musical, JR., Disney’s Aladdin, JR., and Disney's Frozen, JR. performing to sold out or nearly-sold out shows each time. MYT’s upcoming productions include Disney’s Moana, JR. and Disney's Newsies, JR.

This year, we’ll be hosting two musical revues, and our Mauldin Theatre Company (starring talent age 18+) will host its inaugural production, Disney's Freaky Friday, this spring.
