The A. B. Miller Dance program began in 1995 as a vision for a young teacher and a seasoned principal. The program has grown from a stand alone dance/aerobics course for approximately 50 students to a program which employs two full time credentialed teachers, four adjunct dance specialists and several guest artists. In 2009, A. B. Miller High School founded a dance conservatory, where advanced students spend part of the school day studying ballet, jazz, modern, composition and exploring careers in dance.
A. B. Miller Dance is the capstone in a district wide dance initiative called the Dance Collaborative. The Dance Collaborative provides dance education opportunities for students in grades PK-8 grades. The Dance Collaborative provides dance education for over 1200 students each year.
Your generous support help keeps our dream of providing no cost dance education to underserved populations alive. Will you partner with today as we move towards creating equity, access and inclusion in dance?
