The Lion King KIDS is a shortened, age-appropriate adaptation of Disney’s beloved musical, specially designed for elementary-aged performers. The story follows Simba, a young lion cub who is destined to become king of the Pride Lands. After the tragic loss of his father, Mufasa, Simba flees his home, believing the loss is his fault.

With the help of his new friends Timon and Pumbaa, Simba grows up far away from the Pride Lands, living a carefree life. Meanwhile, Simba’s uncle Scar takes over the kingdom, leading the Pride Lands into darkness. Guided by the wisdom of Rafiki and the memory of his father, Simba finds the courage to return home, face his past, and reclaim his rightful place as king.

Featuring iconic songs such as “Circle of Life,” “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King,” and “Hakuna Matata,” The Lion King KIDS celebrates themes of responsibility, bravery, friendship, and finding your place in the world, all brought to life by a colorful ensemble of animals from the African savanna.
