Desert Mountain High School Theatre is a student-driven performing arts program dedicated to creativity, collaboration, and excellence both on and off the stage. Located in Scottsdale, Arizona, the program provides students with opportunities to grow as performers, technicians, designers, leaders, and storytellers through a wide variety of theatrical experiences.
Students involved in DMHS Theatre participate in full-scale productions, improv performances, student leadership opportunities, technical theatre training, competitions, and community events throughout the school year. The program values artistic risk-taking, professionalism, teamwork, and the development of real-world skills that extend far beyond the stage.
From acting and directing to lighting, sound, costumes, publicity, and stage management, students are encouraged to explore every aspect of theatre while building confidence, communication skills, and lasting connections. DMHS Theatre strives to create an inclusive and supportive environment where students can discover their voice, challenge themselves creatively, and contribute to meaningful artistic work.
Through mainstage productions, student-led initiatives, Thespian involvement, and collaborative learning experiences, Desert Mountain Theatre continues to foster a passionate and dedicated arts community that celebrates storytelling, innovation, and student growth.
