Cheyenne Mountain High School offers performances in two theatre spaces. The Lloyd Shaw Auditorium seats over 700 and is where you will experience most musicals, Choir Concerts, Band Concerts and other performances and Award ceremonies. The Black Box Theatre is an intimate theatre space that allows our artists flexibility in set design, staging, and seating configuration. Depending on the production, audiences may experience shows in-the-round, in a thrust-staging position, or in the more traditional proscenium staging. Seating ranges between 80 and 135. CMHS Drama Dept. utilizes the Black Box as a classroom and also performs the Fall Play, a Coffee House/Open Mic Night, THE NIGHT OF ONE ACTS, a Spring Play, and an end-of-the-year Advanced Acting show every year.
