CSUSM Theatre provides a solid educational experience for the development of theatre artists from diverse backgrounds. We foster creative and academic excellence through the practical application of acquired skills, inclusive historical frameworks, and global theoretical teachings. We present two to three plays per semester, plus our student-run theatre club Blue Light Theatre Company also puts on at least one show per year.

The Dance Studies Program at CSUSM is committed to offering students an understanding of contemporary dance practice and performance within an ever-changing social and political context. Through collaborative and community-based projects, students gain an appreciation and respect for diversity and inclusivity through embodied learning. Here, dance is for every body! We present an improv dance concert in the fall and a more traditionally choreographed dance concert in May, often with a guest artist.
