In 2013, I (along with my husband and our cat, Merlin), moved from Los Angeles, California to Jerusalem, Israel. 

It was a big change: language, culture, food...

After a while, I began asking myself, "Why did you do this? Why did you move halfway across the world?" 

What I discovered was that I come from a family of wanderers, immigrants, sojourners, and travelers.

In "Shards" I'll share with you my family's stories of immigration, poverty, discrimination, and eventually 

finding a sense of home in a new place.
