Hello! My name is Caden Schaefer. I am a fourth year technical theatre student and my job this year was to design and create the set for Newsies. A little it about me is that I have been doing technical theatre for about 7 years now. I have worked in multiple shows in middle and high school and have always had a passion for this job. This set comes from a monochromatic, abstract feel and I hope it gives the sense of individuality within each newsie.

Hi there! My name is Nia Kawasaki and I’m a senior in the environmental program. I’ve been a part of theater tech for four years now and have designed sets and lighting for several shows here at West. I love bringing life to the stage through my art!

I’m Samantha and I’m the sound crew lead! I love working with different sounds and finding new ways to use the sound system. I also love making different sound effects.

My name is Vivian and I’m a junior in the Digital Media program. I’m half Vietnamese and Laos so Vietnamese cuisine is my favorite conversation topic. I spend half of my free time either sleeping or drawing on my iPad.

I am the costume director for Newsies, I design costume concepts, create and alter costumes, and am in charge of all matters in relation to the looks of characters.
